You can combine potatoes with fish to make fish potatoes. Haven't checked how much extra health a fish potato heals compared to the fish on its own though. Tip for the gluttonous behemoths. Use gatestones, especially if the boss is a long way from your respawn point, just drop the gatestone where you're standing in between the boss and its food, then if you die you can teleport straight back. Won't work for soloing; but if you have two people and one food carcass or three people and two carcasses, it lets you get back in time to carry on blocking.
Disappointing. Like will-holmes I was looking forward to having some extra incentive to get the firecape for when I (eventually) reach 93 slayer. Hopefully the compromise is something along the lines of being able to kill them without the firecape; but they won't drop the SOL unless you're wearing one.
Managed it at 119 combat after several attempts :) I was surprised by the difficulty of the boss. I don't mind it too much (though I guess it's easy to say that now I've beaten it), but I'd have expected it to be built up to slowly as more grandmaster quests come along, rather than this huge step up.
So I hear people with maxed/near-maxed combat are having difficulties with the nomad fight. Anyone reckon I stand a chance with my stats, or should I go train a whole lot more? (Attack 85, Strength 87, Defence 85, Hits 88, Ranged 81, Prayer 82, Magic 87, Summoning 82)
I haven't noticed any difference in clue scroll drop rates. Got at least one level 3 clue from most assignments I've had in there while wearing a ferocious ring (sometimes two if I've got bored and done the clue halfway through the task). Can't really comment on whether it acts as a ROW in the dungeon or not, though I'd guess it doesn't. In answer to the question, I'd always go with the ferocious ring in that dungeon.
Fun quest, probably my favourite this year. Reward is nice, not tried it on dagannoths properly yet. Would've liked to put the exp on summoning, but 450k prayer exp is fine too ^^
You appear in Waterbirth dungeon, so you'll get hit by all three combat styles. Not sure if everyone appears at the same part of the dungeon, but I came out just before the rock lobsters near the DKS entrance.
Perakp pretty much covered in on the previous page. Two 20/20 rangers can drop an icyene down to 4/40 health (rendering it fairly useless). I hardly used black knights at all on that mission, used mainly rangers (and a few mages for the lions/knights) to push from the second portal to the third.
Two of the items are Bear Fur/meat (one of two) and a cake, not sure on third Don't think it works like that. You use the words from the clues to identify a box in the grid and take those items. i.e. if you thought one of the answers was Rare; then you'd take cowhides.
Looks interesting! Today's is easy enough, just need to login and actually do it. Big thumbs up for the AoG campaign too, looking forward to trying that out.
