Hunting The Giant Mole

Featured Replies

Items Required: Light source (bullseye best because other could be blown out by the mole) Spade.

Melee

Items Suggested: If you are very cautious about dying take rune armor. if your a high lvl Full Dharoks or Full Veracs should do the trick. Food, Prayer pots, terrorbird with scrolls or bull ant and scrolls.

Ranged

Best armor you can wear or afford and a c bow is most advised because bows wont hit due to high defense of mole. Emerald (e) bolts work well or ruby (e) to begin with to deal heavy damage.

Magic-not advised because you will just be wasting runes and food.

Description: The giant mole is a lvl 230 so low levels arent advised to solo the mole. There are some safe spots to attk the mole with hally or with ranged.

Start: In order to get to the mole you need your light source and a spade. go into falador park and use your spade on a mole hill. a warning screen will come up saying it is dangerous (dont worry) continue on. This mole is not aggresive so it is ok to wander as a scout for clans.

Attacking: it is suggested to start with a dds to poison because the mole will run. When it gets to roughly 1/2 health it will burrow into the ground. LET THE CHASE BEGIN! this is an annoying process because he can now burrow randomly when hit. a terrorbird helps here because of tireless run (or bull ant unburden) because you need a lot of energy. that is why dds helps because poison will still be hitting. Protect from melee will keep mole from hitting you. without prayer he has potential to hit in mid 20s but not constant.

Death: when the mole dies he will drop mole claw and 1-3 mole skins and big bones. there is a random item drop (see beastiary). after u have killed it 3-4 times take claws and skins to wyson the gardener in falador park. he will give you a bird's nest for each claw/skin and they will posses anything that a nest from a tree would (except eggs). a nest may be given to you empty :x . once you have cleared nests it is advised to crush them with mortar and pestle and sell in Grand Exchange for an easy 2-3k for ea crushed nest.

so if you die have a friend bless it for you

change your respon point to fally and if you die rune to bank get spade and go get your stuff! NO prayer pots needed! just go with full prayer and every time you die you'll have full pp

EDIT: also, your guide needs some pictures and more detail. Any less detail and I'd consider it a tip
