Robert_de_Sable
Unless I've missed something, it appears 99 fletching is harder now, what with yews being so expensive. The reason this is in help and advice is because I was hoping to get 99 fletching, but I can't afford it now. Any thoughts on how to get it cheaply buut still quickly? Eagle_Tas
Maple logs are cheap, about 25 coins last time I checked. I suppose they should be fast enough if you can't affourd yews.

Cheaply: Cut regular logs, fletch Arrows... Quickly: Mage Long. I had a piece of grass on my shoe, and she wiped that off. Yeah. Impressive, eh? That's probably the closest I've ever been to having sex. :P
Laura
Harder? I think that's the wrong term. Maybe a bit more expensive, but it's quick anyhow.

cat666
Yew longs still profit don't they? I used to buy yews and bow strings. Fletch the logs en-mass then add the bowstring. You won't be able to sell the bows on the GE due to trade restrictions but alchers on the RSOF still buy. Try buying unfinished mithril bolts from the GE, lots of people training smithing atm for new quest so should be plenty around. Add a cheap feather and then sell as bolts. May break even/profit. I heard the fastest XP is making dragon arrows, 2mil XP an hour apparantly. However the dragon arrows are hard to come by :( Trust the Gene Genie! Eagle_Tas
2 million fletch xp / hour? That's skill cape on less than a weekend! Well, for those who can come over them of course.

Jmclark911
I checked a few days ago, and you do not make profit on these, lose like 10 gp a longbow, so in the long run, that's around 900k lost from 70-99. No idea about mage longs, but if you make a profit on those, I might continue with 99 fletch. Edit: In fact you do lose money with mage longs too. You could just spin flax, you'd at least make a 72 each profit with yews. Or you could even put some cash in the GE and see if anyone is stupid enough to sell yew longbow (u)s. Great XP but getting the heads can be a pain in the rear. How many rune arrow heads do you see? Even addy ones are rare. Plus making arrows is very very easy and fast. Trouble is the severe lack of heads. Trust the Gene Genie!
Jmclark911
No idea who enjoys doing 163k maple (u)s just from 85-99, but if you have some crazy no-lifing skills, be my guest.
