Average_Hobo
Hey I just bought a creative zen micro mp3 player and I'm looking for a good place to purchase music online. I heard about napster and Rhapsody's (sp?) plan where you pay a monthly fee and get unlimited music. I don't want to use kazzaa or other p2p networks and 99 cents a song is. . .well past my budget for all the songs I want.

Mercifull
http://www.allofmp3.com is still legal aparently. As long as u live in Russia :P iTunes is probably the best one. When you buy the song u actually get it forever. It still includes DRM but u can just burn it to a cd and re-rip as mp3. utahjazzfan
iTunes will not work on the mp3 player that you have. I recommend using Yahoo Music. For $4.99/month, you can download an unlimited amount of songs and use them on a portable player. http://music.yahoo.com/unlimited/

If you want to burn your music to a cd however you need to pay an extra $.79 per song. The non burnable songs are encoded with DRM too so its hardly "unlimited" Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. Mercifull
Heres some more info on Yahoo unlimited. The tracks are in protected WMA format (pfft we all know wma's suck) The bit rate is 192 kbs No support for the largest selling mp3 player in the world. (ipods > * and the only people that deny it dont have an ipod) Yahoo!'s doing a good bit of marketing here... the subscription service does not mean you get to permanently keep the songs you download every month. The permanent songs still cost $0.79 each. So there must be a time-sensitive DRM built in to the songs that make them inaccessible once you cancel your subscription. :-/ The Yahoo Music browser or whaever it's called is also a blatant rip off of the iTunes design too lol just in a purplish colour.
