sibmaster
Sorry if the title is a little misleading, when i say hits, i mean the way that it shows us how much be just hit on a monster/npc/player. The new graphics are amazing and after looking through several threads on the TIF i have noticed several people saying that the combat system is way too old for the new graphics. I have a small suggestion to replace those nwbish red blobs that come up on the screen whenever you hit something. Instead of getting a red blob with a number in it, how about if we hit a monster we get a number that appears and floats upwards and disappears. For instance, if you hit a 15 on a monster, a yellow -15 would appear on it, and rise up and disappears when the next hit is taken. If you hit nothing, then just a 0 will come out e.c.t. If you manage to poison the person, then a green number will rise out with the amount of poison damage dealt. Support, Suggestions and Constructive Criticism are welcome. If you don't like my idea, please explain why. Happy Posting People ~ Sibmaster Supprters: - Georgelemmons Smashing Pumpkins Fan? The_Gabe
me no support, because the red blub is easier to see : Three months banishment to 9gag is something i would never wish upon anybody, not even my worst enemy.
sibmaster
just to say, the numbers would be easily recognised and would stand out well. Smashing Pumpkins Fan? Check out my sticky! ~ CYB Worthy viewtopic.php?f=77&t=759663
legilgalad2
Sounds like an ok idea, it's just that I don't think it would be really necessary. I am personally ok with the red blobs as they are. Woodcutting does not raise your combat level because most people do not play as yew trees.
Will H
I think that people are more used to splats, but I do agree that they aren't good enough for the graphics we have right now. Maybe just make them appear better, vary the shape according to the style hit (slash, stab, magic), and also change the '0' splats so they are shaped to show the reason for the block (simply defending, or prayer). Something to provide more info so you can adjust accordingly. I think that the 'rising number' might be too hard to see and wouldn't be much of an improvement. ~ W ~
Zaaps1
Well first off it can't be yellow, that's for disease. But I like what you're thinking. I guess it'd be helpful. ~It's Super Effective! Georgelemmons
actually, orange is for disease... But I still think that regular hits should be red. Other than that, I support! Thanks to Uno for the awsome sig <
Zaaps1
actually, orange is for disease... But I still think that regular hits should be red. Other than that, I support! Looks yellow to me. Either way, the color would be too similar. ~It's Super Effective! The Observer
Nah, I prefer the hits the way they are. If they were like that, they would be too much like most other MMORPGs.
