bibliy
OK. So i have played runescape for a long time (roughly 2 years). And one of the best cooking spots in my opinion for lvl 1-45 was the chicken pen. You could kill the chicken, take the raw meat, and bring it into the house nearby and cook it on the fireplace. Each would be worth 30 xp. Do the math! but now, after allt he updates and graphics stuff the house no longer has a fire place!!!!! Why would Jagex EVER do that? now u gotta bring logs there, which burns the meat alot more. and it also fills up inventory (logs, axe, tinderbox, etc). i just dont get it. Maybe im crazy but i think jagex shopuld bring it back! put your opinions here =
BloodArgon
Thats...just dumb. Sorry. Two extra spaces is not a lot, especially considering there are so many other faster methods of cooking. 99 Crafting :: 39,750th || 99 Attack :: 1,775th

Shadiochao
More woodcutting and firemaking xp is worth it if it only takes like 10 seconds. Maybe this is Jagex's attempt at making people more willing to train more skills at once.

yanksrule
see... when i was a wee lil lad.... maybe around 3 years or so ago... i had an axe equipped, and a tinderbox w/ me. i went to that fishing spot near the ice giants and warriors dungeon that's affiliated with the knights sword. i secluded myself for a few days from peeps and i just hardcore fished and cooked. fishing went up higher than cooking at the time because anchovies gave same exp for cooking as shrimp did.... so that took a while. cooked and fished i could cook and fish trout (i realllllllllllly needed food at that point btw). then i worked my way up to tuna.lobs.swords. cooked. got hacked. got unhacked. fished a little more....... got members and then about a year and a half later i got level 81 cooking and 69 fishing! just like that! your method was usefull at the time and i kinda wish i did it but... i didn't and i think mine is a little better but... whatever. i've said this before---- things change. you think that people will get the same rs experience you had? few words for the wise- grand exchange. wildy. bounty hunter. trade update. rs hd. f2p updates before unheard of. got it? Wow, watching this thread is better than pro wrestling! =D>This thread is probably better than pro wrestling because the fights here are real (And the boobs). Mico
Just go to the Barbarian village, fly fish and cook them using those three trees near the river. Old detail that is, maybe HD has those three trees and two fishing spots. From what I know it' s the best fishing and cooking experience in F2P since trout and salmon are easy to catch and give great cooking exp. I, for one took the lobster spots on Karamja, took about 1000 noted logs and just fished, caught 20 lobs, unnoted the logs with the store, cooked lobs, sold to the store and repeat. I got my fishing and cooking both to 75. RSN:Mico1311 Combat: 82 Highest skill: Fishing 75 Playing time: From around August 2003 The guy in my avatar is Veso, a comedian mastermind. drek9
Best Cooking spot? Haven't heard of the Rogues Den have you? You've heard of the Cooking Guild haven't you? There's a range and a bank. They are only four spaces away from each other. Red Blade Hunters: 80+ | 70+ FA | 3+ Years

Skull
I'll admit I used this spot alot when I was a wee 'scaper  and yes, it was helpful. However, I think there is a tree a few steps away and if you wield an axe, you waste only 1 space. Wielding an axe shouldn't be a problem either, seeing as it doesn't take all that much power to kill a chicken. You could also kill cows in Falador and cook the meat in the cooking pot a few steps away as well. Maybe I'm crazy, but I think you should find something real to rant about, instead of grasping at thin air the next time you make a thread.
