The_Fray
I dont think this is hijacking but since I am trying to get the same goal, I hope people can answer whether this is the best way to get mage up, while not costing too much as well. So is this method better than say alching. I believe the original poster asked a similar question but nobody has replied to it yet. I hope the topic starter doesnt have a problem with my post, if you do just tell me and I will edit it. I dont want to start a new thread which is basically exactly the same as this one. Maging aviansies is more reliable than irons, but they don't have any big drops. So if you have terrible luck at metals like I do, aviansies are better. Knight_Zaros
I love combat magic and hate high alching for mage exp, or any other form of magic thats not combat magic. I'd say I'm fairly lucky at metals so my cost isnt trendous. Best bet is just try it out with firestrike for awhile see if you like it. green9090
If your training magic with combat is costing you money in the long run, you should be at aviansies. They turn a consistent profit. Numer0_un0
If your training magic with combat is costing you money in the long run, you should be at aviansies. They turn a consistent profit. For rangers, yes; for mages? It costs a lot to use fire waves.

It doesn't take too many casts to kill an aviansie, their def is terrible. Italian5kamikaze
its fine gold. so are aviansies better exp for gp than iron dragons? Quit. PM me if you play The Conduit to exchange friend codes.
green9090
its fine gold. so are aviansies better exp for gp than iron dragons? Oh yes. Assuming you don't get a visage at irons or something. Even per spell you'll be getting much more exp- irons have high magic defense and aviansies have virtually none.
