Smithing+Mining to 99

Hey everyone

my smithing and mining are currently at 50 ish each, add a few..

I was wondering if there is an efficient way to get them both to 99, using the ores i mined over time to level the smithing thus being as cost efficient as possible. I appretiate any tips, especially from people who found a time and cost efficient way of leveling the skills together.

Thankyou :)

If you are P2P, then I would say mine iron at Yanile/Port Khazard, and then making them into iron bars at Neitiznot, and then making the bars into iron nails, and selling to the sawmill guy. The price never changes, and you make a great profit. You even make a profit with nails if you buy the bars, so powermining, then buying bars and making nails is an option.

So don't let anyone tell you you're not worth the earth,

These streets are your streets, this turf is your turf,

Don't let anyone tell you that you've got to give in,

Cos you can make a difference, you can change everything,

Just let your dreams be your pilot, your imagination your fuel,

Tear up the book and write your own damn rules,

Use all that heart, hope and soul that you've got,

And the love and the rage that you feel in your gut,

And realise that the other world that you're always looking for,

Lies right here in front of us, just outside this door,

And it's up to you to go out there and paint the canvas,

After all, you were put on the earth to do this,

So shine your light so bright that all can see,

Take pride in being whoever the [bleep] you want to be.

When your levels get up there a bit...I'd say mith and coal and use the blast furnace, then make bolts.

He shouldn't do that, he doesn't have 60 yet, means he can't make mithril bolts and he can't use the anvils there. Don't do blast furnance until you hit 60, then its really fast, Because your smelting and smithing at the same time. The "smelting" is even done by a machine, and by the time you smith all the bolts, you already have another batch.

99 mining and smithing is no easy feat. They are among the most uncommon 99's. The most eficent way to train you smithing is by making either iron or steel plates depending on what you can afford, this will cost about 100-150m. Mining is a lot harder. The fastest methods of mining granite and iron are mind numbingly dull and take a lot of concentration and devotion. Short of that mining coal while superheating either addy or rune would be decent xp.

Does it really matter whether I was right? #-o
This is Tipit. There is nothing more important than being right.

Common sense is nothing more than a deposit of prejudices laid down in the mind before you reach eighteen.

mine gold ore

get gold smithing gloves wear them when you smelt gold ore

This guy has it right. It's the fastest and most cost-effective method to 99 mining, smithing and if you like, 99 crafting as well.

okay thanks for the tips but what i need to know is if there is a way to level my mining to 99 and then use the ores to smith my way to 99 smithing also?

Well, You might need to mine more ores after 99 mining if this is they way you want it.

Or, Mine gold ore the whole way. Then melt em using Gold smithing gauntlets.

In f2p its the crafting guild. With fally teleports it is relatively fast. For mems (now, i need someone to confirm this) its the place near brimhaven, featured in the Holy grail quest. You can also do the between a rock place, and you can stay there as long as you like, but when you deposit it takes 1/8 of your gold ore or something like that. Smithing it, I would say Port Phastyms for mems and Al Kharid for f2p.
