HOW TO KEEP LENT ITEMS

Featured Replies

My friend says his item has been returned, but it's still in my inventory.

The timers we use in-game are accurate to the nearest minute. For this reason, you may find that items appear in two places at once before the timer runs out and all returns to normal.

My friend says the item I loaned him has gone, but I don't have it yet. Help!

Yup jagex have it sealed theres rumours about omg keep this item for evar but its been in development since january they system is not going to have flaws.

If there exists such a way to keep/duplicate loaned items then it is a bug. Report it to Jagex. If people use it to do keep/duplicate loaned items then it is bug abuse. These people WILL be banned permanently by Jagex. So don't do it. End of story

Jagex would take all the necessary precautions before this update especially after last years dureal glitch.

If it wasnt ready they wouldnt release it

EDIT - and as the above posted said theres no way for quick cash without repercussions.

If this is true it might be the straw that broke the camels back.... noobs begging like crazy now, I've also heard with all the "renting" RWT'ers are back at it, and now duping again?

Might be some truth to this, if the guy mentioned the spinning plate and then someone else confirmed it...hmmm. Also just looked in RSOF Reporting academy and there are a few hidden threads, not sure if it is like that usually though.

Durial's was obvious too. First week me and my friend found the boxing ring glitch with the servant and I sent in a report about it. We knew you could walk around the house if the servant teleported you out of the boxing, combat ring and own anyone else in the house without being attacked back, but we didn't have a clue you could do that when teleported out of the house. Later on I hear what happened, kind of makes me think how well the glitch and bug reports are looked over.

The Durial glitch was so blown out of proportion over time it really can't be compared to anything. -.-

[hide=Theory]I'm pretty sure lending would work like this:

Player A borrows item from Player B for 1 hour.

Player B's item dissapears to him/her, while Player A gets "Borrowed Item".

Player A's "borrowed item" dissapears to him after the hour, Player B can retrieve the original.

Borrowed items are untradeable, and if they can be kept after, I doubt that they would be transformed into just "item" after the time.

Can anyone who actually knows something about programming confirm or disprove that theory...?[/hide]

Duping rumors, I think, are just to make players panic.

These people are most likely just tricking you - if you feel there is a bug in report so on the Runescape site.
