Tip.It will soon be hosting a ranking ladder for DMers to compete in. It currently has two lists: F2P & P2P. As you can see, each list contains 100 slots, available to anyone & everyone; this includes hardcore PKers who like BH, stakers (if any are left), pures, average players, et cetera.

 

 

 

Judging by the current lists, lower level PKers are at a disadvantage. One solution would be at add multiple lists for each set of levels (3-55,56-75, 75+); however, this causes chaos. If we went along with this plan, a total of six lists would exist: F2P (3-55), F2P (56-75), F2P (75+), P2P (3-80), P2P (81-115), & P2P (115+). Clearly, this is too much.

 

 

 

 

 

With the current system, it's likely that, in general, the lower sections of the rankings will be filled with lower levels, & as you go up the list, players' levels will raise. As you can already guess, this would mean the list would eventually be dominated by higher levels, so as the lists progress, we will add more rankings to accomodate the lower-leveled players who want a chance for glory.

 

 

 

This system isn't completely stable, which is why the DMR is in a beta. The chances of both lists being reset after the beta is remote, but we can't guarantee every player's position secure until the beta is over.

 

 

 

 

 

Before the DMR proceedes, Tip.It needs to gather input from local or even external users who have an interest in the DMR. So if you are reading this sentence (that means you were concerned enough to read the entire passage), post a message regarding your opinions about the Death Match Rankings.

This might hopefully bring new life into the PvP forums. :

A front page announcement is essential if you really want to alert people. It's not that people aren't into the idea, it's that the PVP board has been dead for too long. People rarely check a dead board.

 

 

 

As for opinions, It looks good so far, a few suggestions though. Start with two lists for each version of the game and instead of 100 ranks, start with 50 ranks for each list. Requirements for lists could be, 3-70 and 71-126. Meaning that summoning does not count towards the combat and you can not use summoning in official duels. Also, one thing at a time, don't make the person declare and join up at the same time. Usually they put like "Peterpan joining DMR" instead of putting something like "Peterpan changelling Dbzruler". People aren't going to check every joining thread, meaning there's going to be a boatload of challenges ignored.

You can see how we've met a wall there. We'll see how it goes with this, & if level lists are needed, those can be added.

Like I said, their level without summoning and disable the ability to use familiars, it's not hard at all to find someone's combat without summoning. If someone let's their opponent cheat without telling whoever the leader(s) of DMR, that's their own fault for not speaking up.

 

 

 

Allow "I'm joining DMR" threads?

 

Yes, when new users join DMR, they usually don't know who's who.

 

 

 

Edit: I'm not sure if this was the intention.. But maybe leave the ranking lists open instead of closing them for just joining purposes. That way, the amount of pointless threads on the board is minimized.

Maybe another sticky can be created with entries to the DMR so that it won't clutter up the forum. I also agree that a front page announcement is very important.

I'd love this. The only massive PvP event tif had were the steal wars, to my knowledge. This thread has no where near as many viewers as General Discussion or AOW does. Like said before, maybe a global announcement could be created and a front page article. It'd also be nice if there were banners you could put in your avatar or siggy displaying your high rank. I would love to help out if any assistance was required. :

I had some free time today, and came up with a header for the DMR Page. I'm not sure how you're going to set up the ranks, so this will most likely need some adjusting.

Pretty darn good. The lists won't be on the same page, however. The F2P list & P2P list will be on two separate thread.

Yeah, having P2P and F2P separate would make organizing it a ton easier.

I don't think this thread gets enough attention. Perhaps you could make a poll on the front page or something? :pray:

That would defeat the whole purpose. The more well rounded and diverse you are, the better chances of winning you'll have.
