I usually do until i'm 150k or less to an attack or strength level.

Yes I do. It means that I can train str with a whip which in the long run is faster.

Not so sure of that. If you started at 70-70-70, trained attack 5 levels, strength 5 levels, and so on until 90-90-70, using an ss for strength training, and trained defence to 90 after that, I'm fairly sure you'd get there faster than using a whip all the time.

But, I'm a narb, I don't listen to my own advice. I train my defence to 85, then controlled to 85-85-90. Am I weird? I guess.

I think I would use it if I owned a Whip, but that is just a dream since I am F2P. On F2P I never use it though. I prefer to train one skill at a time and get the full experience.

My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.
