I killed 5 brothers in their crypts previously and went tunel for 6th brother because i dont think i could safespot guthan anyway. I thought its smartest to go to chest for last brother, but when i opened the chest,he didn't appear and i know i havent killed this brother yet. I got some runes and gold for my reward...

 

 

 

Is this possible to happen (Not to kill 6th brother and claim some runes reward)? .. I ask this for main reason i know brothers are commonly appeared near chest when other players fight them,i've seen them there pretty often

I'm not sure what you're asking, I'll try to answer anyway though. If you don't encounter the 6th brother while you make your way through the tunnel, then he will pop up as you open the chest, 100% of the time.

That's very strange, it's possible to be a glitch, but highly unlikely for such an established and well played minigame. The only possibilities I can imagine are

 

 

 

1) You miscounted, the tunnel brother will not pop out if you have not killed the other five yet.

 

2) If Guthan popped out on one of doors previously and have not disappeared due to distance, it's possible for him to not appear on the chest. (Confirmation?)

 

3) Guthan was not your tunnel brother, ie you have killed your tunnel brother previously but haven't killed Guthan in a crypt yet. I haven't try this myself, but I will assume that the last brother won't appear on the chest in this case.

2.Yes it was Guthan! , maybe i haven't seen it appear but would really like to know (Is it possible to claim such reward without killing the last brother) = lets say i didnt kill him because i didnt see him appear

it might be a glitch or something, but i think you just missed him one or 2 doors back.

 

though i believe that it was always possible to claim your reward without killing all the brothers ;)

Yes this is a glitch.

 

It happened to me on my first ever Barrow's run and I still got a Karil's X Bow.
