I've got a prayer level of 60, overall combat level is 94. I'm trying to figure out if, when defending only (say playing Fist of Guthix) it would be better to keep my ammy of power on or to use a blessed holy symbol?

 

 

 

One thing I'm not sure about is what a prayer boost will do. Will it only keep it going longer, or will it make it "stronger", as in lower the damage dealt when a protect prayer is on?

Prayer bonus allows your prayer to stay longer. You could try using a holy symbol if you use both protect from melee and the 15% defense prayer.

I use Amulet of Defense when I'm hunted. I don't run out of prayer so often except versus noobs or low levels but who cares.

Defense Ammy its cheap and better than power ammy when being hunted.

You can bring both, wear the power ammy when you're hunting and defence ammy when you're hunted.

I'm going to throw out there that in my opinion +1 prayer is worth a lot more than +1 to all defense. You'll hardly notice either, but prayer bonuses are harder to come by than defense.

Hmmm, thanks for the suggestions... I like the idea about def boost prayer and protect prayer at the same time. It wouldn't work well without the symbol I bet.
