I just completed smoking kills and was wondering if there's anything else I need to do to get the sword as a drop? I heard somewhere you need to do something... but I don't really know :oops:

I know there was a rumor floating around that you had to kill the turoth and/or kurask bosses on the lower floor of the smoky well before you can get it. Not sure if that turned out to be true or not, but you may as well do it. Those bosses are horribly easy, just don't forget your leaf spear.

I personally doubt you have to kill either, but go ahead and kill the turoth one- that's only 55 summoning. Then you have a nice place to kill turoth under the well if you like.

To confirm this for everyone, YOU DO NOT NEED TO KILL THE TUROTH BOSS.

Somewhat off-topic: I wonder why Turoths and Kurasks carry around leaf-bladed swords. If I was 100% invincible except for four different items, I would sure as hell not carry one of them around with me.

offtopic also: because they are animals and do not have the developed thought and logic processes of a developed race (eg humans etc) and they grab the things of people who die around them eg the weapons

well, some people carry guns around... turoths/kurasks carry for defence or something?

Well... the swords worth the trouble as it makes those tasks fast and fun imo. I got one in my first 15 turoth kills and haven't got one since. I did 160+ kurasks last night and got 2 mystic tops and 2 rune longs but no sword so im not sure what to think on there rarity.
