Smithing

I am thinking of starting to smith i want to be able to make steel platebodies so i need to get around lvl 48 im at 1. my mining lvl is also 40, if that helps at al i have about 500k in my bank and am willing to use it to bring up this skill if u have any advice as to wt to smith at certain lvls , to get raw materials and smelt or wtever. if u hav any advice plz reply :thumbsup:

I'd say just mine iron (or buy it) if you're a member and smith it, then make it into iron knives and sell. You make a profit either way. If you aren't a member I would mine enough iron and coal in steel bars to get you your level.

do nights sword quest that gives you around 30 smithing i think :thumbsup:. then you can make steel bars for profit or iron plates or something. i used a guide in the archive of wisdom you should look there as it gives plenty of options. good luck on your goal \

Steel is the best exp/money for the time spent mining. Higher level metals take too much coal and Iron is a bit to unreliable smelting. Its not unwise to take up magic for high alchemy to get decent return on Steel Chest Plates. It won't cover supplies if you buy but its the closest thing to doing so.

Best advise ever; do knight's sword quest, it's really easy.

I did knights sword at lvl 22 smithing...since you get 10k exp i went straight up to 33 smithing..thats your best bet :ohnoes: \ \ :mrgreen:
