i took a break from runescape about 4 months ago and i came back on about last week. When i left barrows was a fun and profitable way to play rs, now everything except the guthans spear is averaged to around 300-400k...when i left everything was at about 700-1m.

I have never lost a single gp doing barrows, and I find it still very fun to do. Very rarely does the reward not cover what I use (Around 5 sharks at most) per trip

Still profitable, but Supply Vs. Demand can't be fought against.

 

Btw, dharoks helm is still 1m+ I think, and guthans helm is 2 or 3m.

i've been going on some where around a 15-20 dry streak

 

last time this happened i got a double drop though

yeh i've noticed that too. back then i would only see the highest levels or richest with barrows but now seems like every other person has it.

 

 

 

as for profitable, the stuff you get even the runes cover any expenses you use. even the bolt racks are sellable.

Yeah I remember looking at other peoples banks and wishing i could afford every barrows set and now theyre so cheap i can own them and placeholders for each item :?

Does it make you very rich like it used to over a year ago? No.

Meh, it depends. If your fast, efficient, high level, and willing to speed through everything like a machine, you can make decent (~400K) an hour profit. If you do 1-2 trips per run and lollygag around with a godsword and whatnot like most barrowers I've seen, expect mabye 200k. I aim for 8 minute runs, including banking; I don't always hit that depending on my tunnel brother, but its not that far off. That was back when I did barrows for a couple of days steady, made roughly 12m off of very lucky drops.

It can make you money without fail, but not at the best rate.

 

You'll be better off getting 83 slayer, that's where the money is now, unless you'd rather kill boss monsters with teams, but that's not as reliable

barrows is very rare to get good drops nowadays..last 30 trips I did I got always runes :S

I think its good money, since I got my first drop yesterday, a spear ftw

 

Then of course I blew it all on worthless stuff like a robin and a dbow.

its still good money but no were as good as what it used to be
