Yeah. So I have no idea what inventory to take, if I should take guthans, or what bolts. I know for sure I'm going to use a rune crossbow, and I have 8m at my disposal.

 

 

 

 

 

 

I plan on getting 80 first too.

Amulet of Fury (Replace with stole if you cannot afford)

 

Archer's Ring

 

Ranger Boots (since you cannot afford 5mil for these boots, you would be better off with snakesking boots)

 

Crossbow (1000 emerald and 100 diamond for Jad only)

 

Best RFD gloves you can use

 

Granite Shield

 

Accumulator

Dont be hesistant to spend all your money on the equipment, as these items can all be easily sold on the GE. In fact I made money when I sold most of the equipment.

Good except for invo, take 16 restores 8 brews 3 range pots and then have you diamond bolts, I suggest you take addy instead, they seem to hit harder than emmy's, you could also take broad bolts, which are very cheap and hit fairly well.

Guthans makes it alot easier... and yeah, use Addy, not emerald.

Don't use Karil's top, it has less melee defense than black dragonhide. The magic defense doesn't matter, because you're always praying against it, during the caves melee defense and ranged defense are equally important, and while fighting Jad (the most important part), melee defense is extremely important. Of course, all the differences are minute, but then there's the fact that you have to repair Karil's. No point in it at all.

well I agree with green but I think that you should use an arma pl8, someone in bsc or hyt will lend ya one, it has +1prayer (a small asset) and is better in every aspect. Also if nobody is lending one get a lended pair of rangers boots.

Ahh... the broad bolt. I have to check that, I've heard many rumours about it.

 

Definitely try them out. One thing I can 100% guarantee- they have the same max as addy bolts. I trained with addy before they came out, and now train with broad, so I have a lot of experience with both.

So... you were going to chin your range higher, then decided not to, then do a bunch of random stuff to get it up, and you still didn't. I can't take you seriously when you say you're going to get a level now. But whatever. Just use muggi's guide, don't use guthans, and use crystal bows just like he said.

I'm training it via slayer on all the tasks that I don't feel like melee'ing :lol:

 

 

 

But I'm 4k from 78 and I should have 80 very soon.

Depending on how many super restores there where affects the range pots. :)

 

I took this in my first trip with no experience of the fight caves and managed to get to jad and i only had 70 range. I had enough pots to take out jad.
