Racedriver:GRID Official Thread

Featured Replies

Welcome to the official Racedriver:GRID thread. Here you can talk about the game, share bonus codes and if you want to, invite people to start a race on Xbox Live.

What is Racedriver:GRID?

Racedriver:GRID is a racing game. The are 3 types of modes you can play. Those are GRID World, Race Day and Multiplayer. Unfortunately, Multiplayer is for System Link and Xbox Live players only :(. GRID World is the Career mode in which you create a character to your own name. Race Day is the mode in which you can create a race to your spec, to race against the computer. Multiplayer is Live & System Link only. On Xbox Live there are 2 types of game Public, and Private. Public games are races that anyone can join. Private games are started by a person who wants to invite his/her friends.

I downloaded the Trial Demo thingy from xbox live arcade and it looks pretty good but the controlling of the cars seems harder than like forza and PGR. My friend has it and is trying to persuade me to pick it up and I probably will when i get a bit of money :P

Well it is hard at first, but once you get used to it, it's a really good game to play. It's uses the same engine as Colin Mcrae:DiRT. It has a decent physics engine too, so your car does get worn throughout the race.

i bought it but returned it a couple days later, it was a pretty awesome game but i dont think it was worth the money, i might get it again when the price drops

thanks to mitsubishi64 who made this sig

Played the Demo but for some reason I kept BSOD'ing probably cause of impotent powersupply but its a pretty good game. Need a steering wheel/controller though.

Add some car customisation and I reckon its better than ProStreet.

It's better than prostreet anyway. It's not as realistic as say GT5, but it's so much more fun. It's still very realistic though, I don't think any other game does Le Mans as well as this. Anyone tried the 24h one yet?

Also, is it me or is there only one demolition derby in the game? They are my favourite event (in front of open wheel and that head-to-head tuscan race), nailing people in the cross jumps is just epic fun.

So don't let anyone tell you you're not worth the earth,

These streets are your streets, this turf is your turf,

Don't let anyone tell you that you've got to give in,

Cos you can make a difference, you can change everything,

Just let your dreams be your pilot, your imagination your fuel,

Tear up the book and write your own damn rules,

Use all that heart, hope and soul that you've got,

And the love and the rage that you feel in your gut,

And realise that the other world that you're always looking for,

Lies right here in front of us, just outside this door,

And it's up to you to go out there and paint the canvas,

After all, you were put on the earth to do this,

So shine your light so bright that all can see,

Take pride in being whoever the [bleep] you want to be.

It looks nice and works nice, but the steering sucks. I tried different settings and really tried to steer... But i just keep sliding... So i gave it up. You can't push the steering much or i'll just slam right into the wall.

I give it 5/10, mainly because the sucky steering. And i've played motor-games for over 10 years... So i'm not a noob on it lol.

Well it does take while to get used to the steering. I think I'll make this the official thread too.

I done Le Mans a few times, but not the actual 24 hr one though. Anyone been on Xbox Live on this game?

2257AD.TUMBLR.COM

I've been on PSN on this, kinda sucks. Only races people were doing were endurances.

S'pose it's not as big of a game in the UK as it is in the US.
