Puzzle box glitch - making it near impossible to complete

Featured Replies

I got a puzzle box for a clue scroll I'm doing, and I'm only able to slide 1 piece before the pieces become 'stuck'. I can click on them, I hear the noise they make when they move, but they don't move. If I exit the puzzle and re-open it, I can move one piece, but my progress is always rolled back one piece. I tried logging out and back in. Fun, now my puzzle is reset, but I can move about 3 pieces before I can't move anymore. I've been trying to complete this puzzle for about half an hour, and have made very little progress. Anybody else having this problem?

Are you lagging at all? switch detail modes, worlds, change as much as possible.

I was having no lag at all, only very slight graphical lag, but I know that's not the problem at all. I'm trying it on my laptop now to see if it's different.

Edit: switching computers/worlds/detail modes did nothing at all. Problem still exists.

So it wasn't just me that had this problem?! Woot, this is how i did it, i just closed the puzzle box and reopened it. Didn't take very long at all.

Three months banishment to 9gag is something i would never wish upon anybody, not even my worst enemy.

this happened to me too.

i thought it was just lag but it happened a few times with a few different puzzle boxes.

last three or four puzzle boxes ive had though have worked fine.

Weird, it sounds like something to do with lag, and yet you say that you don't lag very much at all. :-k

This happens to me too... Seems like the plastic in the puzzles are melting because of RuneScape Warming...

But yeah, it's annoying

Was able to solve the puzzle, with a lot of clicking. I had to triple click each piece to move it, and every 4th piece or so got stuck, so I had to reverse my last move to be able to move another 4 pieces. Then on the very next step, I got the same puzzle from the same person with the same problem.

A lot of work for 30k. I really hope this doesn't stay here for long.

I had the same problem.. I was able to do 3 moves before I had to close it and open it back up, where it was reset back 2 moves. So for doing 3 moves and closing/opening I was able to move 1 piece

It's not lag, I know that. I wasn't lagging in the least.

lulz wut?

Iv had the same problem, only not as often. I usually had to close about 4 times to finish the puzzle, thank god I had only one.

I even mashed two peices together -.-

Note, this was NOT lag, I had to right click and select the bottom "move puzzle" to get it to work.

I think for now the best thing to do is simply do the puzzles very slowly, if you clikc on a piece and it doesn't move, just click the last piece you moved.

I'm sure Jagex will fix it, I hardly think they did it on purpose #-o
