Does the RS window work differently?

Featured Replies

Right well I've not been playing a lot lately and since i'm going on a holiday in 3 days, i thought i would put money into my Kingdom for 3 weeks. As i was getting my disposition thing from 26% to 100% i was browsing forums a lot, looking at guide etc. What i have noticed is that if i have a different tab open for about 20 seconds or more, when i switch to the rs screen in looks like this for a split second:

(It was very hard to get that screenshot, so i want respect for that :D)

So....What i am thinking is maybe RS is rendered differently when we are looking at different webpages? I mean like, when we switch it tries to optimize the experience so we don't get much lag doing what we wanted to do?

Im not sure if this has ANY discussion value, but I think it's kinda interesting to see what you tifers have to say

P.S - I definitely have higher requirements than needed to run RSHD so don't say it's my PC

I may start making sigs again

You obviously have a good framerate and reaction time to get that, well done. Sometimes not all elements of the game world that you download can happen simultaneously, and the shadows are so complex that they must download that after everything else. Somehow your framerate exceeded the download, so you got to glimpse it at the halfway stage.

You saying that your computer is well above the requirements for HD makes perfect sense. You're actually suffering from anti-lag!

It's just all the shadows have turned to pure black instead of being rendered.

It might be a memory saving type thing, maybe not.

I think this probably belongs in H&A, anyone agree?

Oh that seems fair. Although i do not agree that this should be moved to Help&Advice. I think this is more of a discussion than a problem.

That is pretty cool, but just throwing this out there it maybe a fake, but probably not.

I don't think it's fake. I mean what would be the point? Why would he edit the picture just to say "Look at this pic I took! Give me respect!"
