Im currently 64 slayer and when i get 65 slayer i was wondering about how often the dust devil drops a dragon chain. I dont kno wheter to try and get one or keep training slayer.

Just keep training slayer. When I asked, I was told it was about 1:15,000 kills, so it's not really worth your time. Although you may get lucky and find a chain your first drop, it's all random.

Ive heard its 1:15000-20000 or roughly about once per 10m exp on average?

 

 

 

Keyword is average, could be 60000 kills could be 60. Never a guarantee, but it is very very very rare.

When I was young and foolish (and dragon chain was the equivalent of an Armadyl hilt as far as drops were concerned) I camped over 3k dust devils. I saw a left half shield, but no chain. At least the left half was still worth something :D

They are decent xp and have good drops (charms + alchables) so you could camp them, but don't expect a chain.

Let's just say it's almost certain you will accumulate more cash by continuing to train slayer than you will camping at dust devils for a chain.

Yea, they have a good charm rate drop along with good exp and decent drops to alch. But the rate of getting a chain is a bit insane. I camp there sometimes when I was some charms, but in the long run, you'd make more through regular slayer drops/clues along with slayer, then camping Dusties. Good luck!

If you try to camp dust devils for the sole purpose of a d chain drop, you're going to be disappointed. If you kill them, you should do it for their more valuable common drops and their good charm drop rates, and consider the chance of a d chain to be more of a bonus. It's probably not going to happen.

well....my friend and i had a race to see who could make 10m first, he tried to get a dchain from em...i beat from slayer....and now have made a good 60m before he hasnt even goten his chain, so yeh...dont even bother with the chain
