Okay, that's a lot of ideas; thanks everyone!
-
Thanks for the suggestions, everyone! I forgot something in my original post- I have a sufficient Magic level to superheat, so I can literally do this anywhere in RuneScape.
-
I'm getting 99 Smithing here in the next couple days, and it's tradition for me to obtain a skill's final level in an unusual/creative place. Unfortunately, I came back to playing a few months ago after a long, long hiatus, so my memories on interesting locations are a bit scrambled. I've done nearly every quest, so anything is fair game. Where would you do this, if you could do it anywhere? EDIT: Don't forget, superheating is an option, so this can take place anywhere I can bring runes with me.

As of tonight, we're an officially registered clan. We're still looking for people who are curious to learn more about us and our small, but growing community. Let us know if you're interested!
-
Oh, I really hope not. :wall: I didn't know that was an option without switching to something else and back; maybe I'll do that, thanks.
-
Well, I've only changed my name the one time. A good portion of my friends also changed names only once, and many of those already have lost the swirl, whereas I retain mine.
-
Yes. Yes. Nope. That can't be quite right, but thanks for trying!
-
I changed my display name from Moad14 to Aufblitzen on October 1, 2009. I expected the swirl next to my name, which still recognizes that I used to be Moad14, to disappear quickly. However, after over three months, I still retain the swirl. Now, before simple assuming that the waiting time is longer than three months, many of my friends who changed their names at a later date than mine to something completely different have already shed their past aliases. Why is this? Is there something I can do to finally shed the Moad14 next to my name? How do the display name rules work?

Pio, this is a great idea; I can't wait to see what the community produces! -
For me, it's a Tan Cavalier. Nothing's better than looking stylish!

1. That my girlfriend and I will always be in love the same way as we are now. I like things as they currently are, and definitely prefer it to the what I've seen among older couples. I'm sure there are exceptions, but from what I've seen, they're kind of bitter, don't talk much, and rarely do they as little as hug one another. That's not so cool. 2. That she and I stay young and healthy until the day we die simultaneously (so neither has to go on without the other), though this day will be a long time from now. One hundred years together would be nice; immortality seems a bit much for anybody to handle, and it's likely overrated. 3. I don't need to be rich, but I wish I had the financial security to be able to do what I really wanted. I could be a cashier at a gas station, a salesman in Staples, or a Wal-Mart greeter (hey, I'd really prefer these jobs, okay?) and never have to worry about supporting myself and my family comfortably. I'd like a titch more money though, so that we could go traveling every now and again too, because that's what my girlfriend really enjoys. Yeah, these might not be very exciting, but wishes are supposed to make your life as good as possible, right? Well, I can't imagine anything making me happier, so deal with it.

Who is this moad and why is he usurping me? For the maybe 3 of you who know who I am, I've grown bored of pretty much everything so I'm hopping back into RS for a bit, and in hopes of finding some of the people I used to hang out with I googled myself and stumbled across this topic. The fact that ANYONE remembers me makes me giggle though, since me and raichase were little more than trolls who loved to argue about everything :P Wait, so now I've been found to be roughly equivalent to a self-proclaimed troll? Oh well, at least now I know that Zubeedoo isn't a fragment generated by Tabby's mind. Nice meeting you! -
"Fastsc 123" is the one I typically use, because they're strict about the rules and are almost always active in Stealing Creation. On a good (e.g. crowded) night you can finish a game in seven minutes or so.
-
Well, Ravenkana, I agree with you. You seem to have been trolled pretty effectively, but in all honesty you should have known better than to come here when you have an issue with RuneScape or JaGEx. ;)
-
I see people flame and insult you on a semi-regular basis, how do you manage to forget this stuff so quickly? In fact, Ratchet (who you're trying to use as a character reference) even went so far as to write a small essay of a post on your pro-JaGEx trolling. You and canadiansmurf are the same type, just on different sides of an issue. Neither of you has anything new to say, but you just keep posting anyway.

I rant about this most every day. It's been far too long since we had a good quest. (When Guthix Sleeps was not a good quest, it was just long. Try thinking past that though, it's hard!)
-
That's a terrible suggestion, and it would never work. You think that they communicate only through RuneScape clan chats? Also, to do that to the people who run price manipulation clans is a bad solution. It'll just make a lot of people angry without fixing the problem.

Please do not use the word "difficulty" when discussing RuneScape. There's nothing hard about this game, and I can't for the life of me figure out why you're whining that xp is faster to obtain than in previous years. You should be taking advantage of the faster xp as well, right? If so, then you're way ahead of them and have nothing to worry about. If not, then you're just being silly and nostalgic and have no grounds to be complaining. Are you sure that they're calling you a noob because of the lack of trim? It may be your name. -

When a company is losing money because of its players' activities, don't you think that they will rush to end said activities as soon as possible? quelmotz didn't explain properly how the money was being lost, but he did get the important part- that they were losing money because of RWT. In all honesty, if I were in charge of fixing that situation, I would've just made the game exclusively PvM. We've wasted so much time with updates meant to appease the Player Killers, who still manage to complain very loudly about each attempt. It's pointless to try to satisfy them, so I wouldn't bother. I'd say that JaGEx's solution was quite favorable compared to mine, eh? -
Why would I respect someone because of the way they've chosen to play RuneScape? Of all the silly things to say...
-
I'm surprised that someone would follow you to a quest NPC; those tend to be in awkward places. I can imagine it would be frustrating though, but I tend to just private message them, since it won't end a dialogue.
-
Player Safety is common sense. If someone has none, that's their problem; JaGEx does not have to try to instill it within them.
-
A couple of strangers called you a non-offensive name and your response is to post a rant about it. If you're seriously upset about this, then maybe you needed the ego deflation this incident seems to be for you.

JaGEx makes FAR more by charging several bucks a month than they would off selling CD, for starters. Being social is a feature, not a mandatory activity.
