Illegal.. or just not RWT

Featured Replies

All transfers of items using player killing minigames is against the rules. Discussion of it in game should also be reported under Rule 9, Encouraging Others to Break Rules.

Can you explain where in the rules it states this? i went through it in my previous post in this thread and IMO there's nothing explicit on the subject.

From JaGEx's point of view, it's better to just prohibit all unfair trading. This way they won't run the risk of poeple actually doing it, and then claiming 'oh it was a friend i was just letting them have it since they don't have much money'. Then that person carries on trading.

Yes i'm with you on this. Although they need to add it to the written rules. Currently they can easily ban you under the RWT blanket for sharing a boss drop via BH, even if no real world money or service is being traded for it, it's nigh on impossible to prove and Jagex can easily turn round and say 'we have evidence to believe you were RWTing' whether you were or weren't. If they add a line to the rules saying that an unbalanced trade outside of the 3k-30k limit is against the rules then they will have a legit way of stopping it.

If it was against the rules would it stop you from doing it?

While it doesn't directly break a rule (providing there's no RL cash traded) Jagex don't know any different. They are doing nothing wrong by banning you for doing so, anybody trafing via BH should know that they are doing this at their own risk.

No matter how easy it is, Jagex may still see it as RWT.

I know a Global Mod didn't see fit to lock this thread however, I really think it should be... :|

Honestly, I don't think it matters if its in the rules or not, Jagex will most likely ban if they catch you, so it can safely be deemed "illegal". But I also don't think that should stop you. If it doesn't hurt your conciense any, then keep on doing it. Unless of course your afraid for your character.

And what purpose would locking this serve? It is not hurting anybody to allow others to continue posting their opinions on the matter.

As the the question in the original thread has been answered there is no reason for this to remain open as it'll only encourage others to break the rule.

Locked.
