Sorry for saying this, but random clothes are horrible for weight, they way tons. A good nonmem setup is either wear monk robes, and runecrafter's gloves and hat. full runecrafter's robes, or only monks robes, or even nothing at all. Check it ouchy and youll see im right...

Just read through your guide. And here's my evaluation!!!

For these first levels, you are going to be using the Dwarven Mine and the Varrock West Mine. You are going to be using Copper and Tin Ores. You are going to need to mine 256 Copper or Tin Ore, or if you are doing half/half then 86 Copper Ore and 86 Tin Ore.

 

 

 

You say one must mine 256 of either copper or tin, but if you mine both equally, you have to mine 86 each? Wouldn't it be 128 each?

If you're 85+ mining, instead of mining rune ore for pure cash or powermining iron for pure xp you could take the middle road and mine coal in the mining guild. 1 or 2 hitting 1/3-1/2 of a full inventory of coal is not uncommon and the xp gain is pretty good as well. Plus coal is used for all kinds of smithing and even if you won't use it for smithing it always sells good.

Thanks for your concern. The reason I have stopped it at 85, is because in that section (Profit), I listed the best money making methods for that current level. Rune Ore is better money that Coal Ore.

Well, I have worked out that all I need to add (at the time being), is just a section on how to mine Rune. Would it be possible for you guys to post some information on it?

I cannot update this until the Weekend, as I cannot get on RuneScape and upload any images, as I passed our monthly download usage... -.-

You guide has a few flaws to it:

 

 

 

1. Best place to mine coal IS NOT the guild. It is WAAAY too overcrowded. The best place is actually the Skeleton Mines in the wilderness.

 

2. Do not recommend mining mithril, it's worth less than coal last time I checked, and the extra experience isn't worth it.

 

3. You did not mention the use of SCOUTS while rune mining. The best way to f2p rune mine, I've found, is to hide some scouts behind the dead tree inside the lava maze (by the necklace spawn and before the gate to the lessers). Place about 3-6 of them there (since some might die from rev attacks). Remember you can use the dead tree as cover at certain points to log out. The advantages of employing scouts are 1) You won't waste time if you log into a world where the ore hasn't respawned, 2) You won't have to run from a rev if that world has one at the rune mines, 3) If you switch between 3 or so scouts, you won't be wasting much time. Also, on the rune miner account, remember to log out/in 1 screen or so WEST of the rune rocks.

 

4. Rune mining probably isn't such a good way to making money in f2p anymore. When I rune mined, it was before existence of revs. Pkers were MUCH harder to deal with, but now you can just run a few screens from a rev and log. Therefore, you have many more miners since the risk is lower. Perhaps at non-peak times rune mining is still worth it, but if you have 85 mining, I've found gold at the crafting guild nets about 120-130k per hour.

 

5. Yeah, I do not think your powermining section is the best option out there. When I powermined, I could get 40k xp an hour (distracted though) employing the Mine3-Drop3 method on a world with 1400 people. This way is much better than mining a full load and dropping it, and you can keep the gems and such you get (25 in fact!). I did this at Al-Kharid and going to Hobgoblins during peak times. I've heard that Al-Kharid no longer has the triangle of rocks. Well all that matters is that it has 3 close iron rocks.

 

6. I haven't tested mining adamant in a while, but last time I did it I could get about 100k an hour at Hobgoblins. It's worth a shot to test it again.

 

7. Mention the Explorer's Ring is a nice way to get to the Crafting Guild and Port Sarim quicker than running from Falador.
