Kazel Posted August 25, 2008 Share Posted August 25, 2008 So, whenever I get to Barrows after walking through the Mort Myre swamp shortcut, and dig into my first mound, I always get the "The swamp decay effect is now over" message. But what has been puzzling me is: what does the swamp decay effect actually DO? Maybe I missed some dialogue in Nature Spirit, but I never figured this part out. B When u get to close to puddle something grabs u. and possible does something to you What you say, is done by ghasts (invisible monsters in the swamp), and both of these effects can be prevented, if you have blessed sickle and druid pouches (from nature spirit quest) in your inventory. Also: unlike the desert effect it also "harms" other stats.. but it harms so little you hardly notice it (like 1 "damage" a minute). First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me.
