Solution to the skillcapes for F2Pers debate.

Featured Replies

First of all, I am not suggesting that skillcapes be made F2P.

When you use the quickchat option to say your skill level (My XXXX level is XX.) you can not tell if the person typed it or used Quickchat. If a quick respose bubble was added to the quickchat message you would be able to tell if the player was lying about their skill or telling the truth. The bubble would contain responses such as "Nice Level in XXXX" , My "XXXX level is only XX" (lower level than said), or "My XXXX level is XX!!!" (higher level than said).

It's great you know what you're talking about rustiod. Everything you've said is 100% accurate a true.

That being said...your a [bleep]ing [bleep] douchebag, and none of your advice will ever (or should ever) be taken seriously because of it.

disregard good advice because the giver is a douche

THAT MAKES YOU A BETTER PERSON

Actually you can tell.

It will read "My Smithing Level is XX"

When typing, you are not able to have the second and third words capitalized.

Sorry, but your wrong. It only capitalizes the first two words, and you are able to capitalize both words.

Not true, if you try typing with Caps Lock on, then it does show up like that. However, sometimes, when somebody uses QuickChat, it has a little speech bubble in front of it.

The speech bubble is the quick-response button.

1) You can capitalize words in a sentence even if it's not the first.

2) The bubble DOES NOT appear for ALL quick chat phrases. Only ones you can quick-response (F9) to.

But adding a bubble to each one defeats the purpose of the bubble. Maybe quick chat phrases would be a special color in the chatbox? White maybe?

If there lieing then why not use the high scores?

 exactly wat i was thinking. ppl dont want a skillcape so they can say they have a 99. they want it because it looks kool and they r proud of their 99 achievement.

besides they can be looked up on highscores if someone thinks they r lying.

1) Yes, i know.

2) Yes, i am suggesting to add the quick-response bubble so you can tell if they typed it out, or used quickchat.

And yes i know you can use the highscores, but it can be frustating.

The 1 and 2 were to the posters above me ;)

Hmm, I support. This can be useful for people who don't have a skill in the highscores. The quick response can be "Nice level!" or something along those lines.
