Hi. I ws on vacation where runescape worked fine there, now I'm here and there's a new version of rs and all that stuff. before, SUN Java made runescape work well for me, but now snce this is a new version, I can't find SU java. in the place where it says Java options, unsigned java applet does NOT work for me, nor does th signed applet.

Mods, If this is thewrong place please move it, but in comptuers and technology not a lot of people play runescape so I thought it would be better here.

Um. what operating system are you using? Have you downloaded the latest java?

Windows XP home edition. I'll try downloading the latest version of JAVA tomorrow. i gtg now. (I gtg to my ne fav sub-forum >.<)

I had this exact same problem too. I didn't exactly fix it but I found what did work.

 

 

 

You need to download the windows client runescape. Go to the comunity tab, and go down to the downloads and wallpapers section and it should be the first one. It takes about 5 seconds to download. When you run it, it will launch runescape directly without an explorer browser.

 

 

 

And I tried downloading the latest java too, for some reason that didn't work. :|

Actually, the client uses Internet Explorer, only removes the menus and all.
