September 6, 200817 yr How come this movie was hated so much? The reason why I didn't watch it in the theatres is because of all the negative reviews. I enjoyed it so much. The acting isn't horrible, the story is fun, and the movie itself is GORGEOUS. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::

September 9, 200817 yr I guess I missed it because I'm used to Speed Racer being a very poorly animated cartoon. :| I might rent it. There is no meaning or truth in life but that which we create for ourselves.
September 9, 200817 yr Carlo was right, the movie wasn't bad. Looking at the movie objectively it was ok, the effects were interesting and the story was good, the acting was ok. It's a kids movie, don't forget that. But if you want to rate it with it being Speed Racer in mind, the movie was perfect. It is exactly what a Speed Racer movie should be.

September 10, 200817 yr I honestly didn't see it because a lot of losers from my school went. I liked the original anime when I was young, but to hear these same people laugh and call the show stupid yet run off to see a movie based off of it really pissed me off.
