My second serious attempt at architecture photography, Im lucky to live near this thing :)

1) I really like the Silhouette on this one, it's interesting. Great focal with the bird in the front and then the out of depth bird in the back.

Thanks, yes its a school which doesnt exist that long. It cost several millions to build, and they're still not 100% done building it.

 

From the stories Ive heard, it has this tree in the center of it. :l

Great job on both, but the Metzo building one is my favourite. I really like how the sky reflects in some of the windows, that helps to bring it together colour-wise.

1. The silhuoette (sp?) is great. It has brilliant depth, and shape ad it feels like the viewer is envolved. What really works here is the simplicity. Really well done, with the shapes and lighting.

 

 

 

2. This too is equally amazing. The building is quite something in itself, but the whole angle and perception of it. It looks like one of those M.C Esher drawings.

Fantastic job on both pictures!

 

 

 

Silhouette: Not much to add to what others have said.. but I love the colours in the sky. That is one of my favourite sunset colours (the pale orange and blue) and I actually use it frequently in my artwork. Anyway, very clear silhouette. The front bird is fabulously sharp and the out-of-depth bird in the back looks great too.

 

 

 

Metzo: Boring!? I can't imagine anyone claiming that it is boring and being able to back up their statement! The clouds look great, wonderful angle, very unique building (I agree with Nadril - that's a SCHOOL!?!?).

 

 

 

Great job as always :) Now how about some more pictures of you're awesome pets!? :mrgreen:

I don't really like the first one tbh. I've never liked Photos with not much movement.

 

But I do like the metzo one, I like the sky reflecting on the windows & the general "feel" of it.

The 'boring' part was aimed at the birds-photo, I could imagine that people think its boring because nothing seems to happen ;)

 

 

 

I try to stay away from photographing my pets lately, they are a popular subject but I wont improve by doing the same over and over again. Especially at Deviantart, you can become a star just by photographing on a cat. It doesnt require much skill to photograph a cat (thats not always true, if you do something nice with the lighting/background) but people will like those kind of photos, just because it has a 'cute cat' in it.

 

 

 

I will post photos of my pets once the photos are interesting enough, so its not over yet :)

 

To those who care, she became a little fatter and her head grows. She is still naive when it comes to authority from other cats, she simply walks wherever she wants to :P

I understand about the cats. There definetly my favourite subjecy to photograph. I think it is because the have some wiked poses and macros which you can get out of tem....but meh.

Great photos as always. My only complaint goes to the first photo where you've included the second blurred bird.

 

In my opinion it just ruins the overall image where the silhouette is pin sharp.

 

Also the position of the birds doesn't convince me much. It's too much sky above them but way too little in front of them (at least the non-blurred bird).

 

 

 

Just my opinion. Keep up the good work. :)
