updated my current pixel sig.

Well here it is, I got embarrassed because my linework was put onto Quer_skull's post and the results put my original shading to shame. I updated it for it to live up to my original idea to create an original character, in an original style which resulted in the character looking as if he belonged in the picture (if that made sense :shock: ).. Most pixel sig makers spend hours on a character then quickly add a rubish background and hopes no one notices, Im tryin to maintain that certain factor so that im equally as good at characters and backgrounds.. The original sig had a rubish beam, unbalanced colouring and I hated the characters face cus he look like a lil kid smiling :D .

Although I have some qualms with the lineart, I can say that the shading is superb! 8.5/10.

I'm gonna have to use that saying "don't fix it if it ain't broke", I really like the original one more. I liked the dark BG contrasted to the light blast. I definetely liked the original text more, the second one seems a bit unprofessional compared to the original. The sky on the second one seems a bit flat even with the shading (outlines on clouds hurt it). The outlines also hurt the second one a bit since on the original sig, they are barely noticeable (good thing), in the second one for example, the outlines are really sharp on the blast weapon. The armor is very cool on the second one, perhaps you could draw it in a different sig instead of changing it on the original one?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the end, I like the original one more because of the contrast in brightness, the dark BG, and the themed red color throughout the character. :)
