Hobgoblin Mining

Hi all,

 

 

 

I was just reading Ouchys mining guide and it has started me wondering whether this a a good place to bring nature runes, firestaff and make addy bars. I am level 99 miner but as I reached this level prior to the extermination of pkers I never used or thought of using this mine.

 

Which level in Wildy is it? What is the revenant situation? How close to Edgeville bank? Has anyone calculated the xp per hour for smelting using superheat here? Any anvils in the vicinity?

The mine is in 35-40 wilderness.

 

 

 

The closest anvil is in the ruins at about 20-30 west wilderness.

 

 

 

Edgeville is a bit further away than bounty hunter but games necklaces are cheaper than glories anyway. Just run to 20 Wilderness and teleport... or after you smith on the anvils at least.

You can always resell the glories after you're done with them, and in the end you'll save more money by using glories if you can charge them yourself.

 

 

 

You will be saving time by using glories if you are whatever level it takes to use the Waka Canoe back up.

 

1. You can tele from 30 wilderness with a glory.

 

2. The Waka canoe, if I remember correctly, takes you closer to the mine than the bounty hunter teleport will take you.

 

3. It is easier to tele with a glory than with a games necklace if a revenant comes. When you rub the necklace, it takes about 1.5 seconds to bring up the menu of where you want to teleport, then it takes 2 seconds for it to actually teleport you. If you get hit in that time, it interrupts the teleport. Glory brings up the menu instantly and teleports you as soon as you click your destination.

 

 

 

Just take some emergency brews just incase.

 

And if you really wanted, you could always superheat, smith addy stuff, then alch the addy stuff while going back to the mine. Addy darts/knives/arrowtips also stack if you want to do that.

 

 

 

Revenants can be found sometimes at the ruins with the anvils. While I was doing the summer quests, I actually encountered a Revenant Dragon there :<. If you're wearing a forinthry bracelet it shouldn't be that hard for you to tele. Just run in one of the buildings and it will be easy enough.

 

 

 

If you're f2p, that changes a lot though. It makes it a lot harder to use this spot. I don't know how good it would be to do in f2p.

i wouldnt reccomend it, mining guild is better
