Waterfiend Task

Hello,

 

 

 

I just got a 199 waterfiends task from Duradel. I read several guides, but it seems that I am missing some skills and gear.

 

 

 

My stats:

 

81 Def/Atk/Str, 80 Range, 80 Mage, 60 Pray, 60 Sum.

 

 

 

I don't own a SS neither a Z Spear, although I got the cash. But I'm too much of a cheapskate for that tbh.

 

 

 

Should I skip this task or is there a way in which I could finish it anyway?

 

 

 

I'd prefer not to use the Guthan method, for it is said to be pretty much damn slow. And I'd also like to use my slayer mask, so Guthan's is a last resort. Are there any other methods?

Id skip it without bunyip and spear/ss

 

 

 

you would exhaust to many supplies and make to many trips without i think

you need a good crush weapon, veracs flail would work pretty well. or a barrelchest anchor if you've got one.

 

waterfiends are tough to fight, but they drop alot of crimsons which is always nice. and they have some other decent drops too.

 

it'd probably be a long task, so skip it if you don't want to put alot of effort into it.

 

 

 

-edit: i agree with the person above me, you would use up alot of supplies so skip if you dont want to use alot of food.

Buy a z spear.

 

 

 

I bring 1 pure set, 6 prayer pots, house tab, alch runes, bunyip pouch, swallow whole scrolls and 3-4 backup pizzas. I pot up at bank, tele to outpost and run to the fiends on the other side of the river. I wait with summoning my yip till I'm at ~40 hp.

 

 

 

I get about 70 crimsons/trip this way. You can bring twice that and try to finish it in 1 task, but I find myself worrying about inventory space too much if I do that. Banking is fast anyway.

 

 

 

Oh well, nvm. Just noticed you don't have 68 summ. I guess you should drop the bunyip and fill your inventory with pineapple pizzas instead.

 

Setup is just normal slayer mage defence gear with a crush weapon. Borrow a z spear/ss if you really don't want to buy one.

Skip it, your levels are pretty low.

Nah dont skip, its a great task...just get a SS/GS/Z spear lended and do it.

 

 

 

If you dont have buyinp use sharks

pineapple pizzas are better then sharks. And id still skip it at those levels

Your levels aren't that bad really. I'm only 3 att/str levels higher and I do fine.

Okay... I've borrowed a Z Spear and will try it... If it doesn't work well, I'll skip it ;)

Sorry for double post.

 

 

 

Works quite well, I kill between 30 and 40 fiends per trip while drinking about 6 doses of prayer potion.

 

 

 

Not too bad, I guess, I'll finish the task :)
