COST Nats at 1k = 327k iron at 1k = 97k TOTAL COST = 422K SELLING THE BARS Iron Bars at 1k = 244k TOTAL LOSS at 1k = 176k STEP 1-Buy Nats STEP 2-Buy a fire staff STEP 3-Super heat all iron STEP 4-Repeat. September 28, 200817 yr Maybe pictures even if its pretty basic. Also why not just make iron knives after you got your goal or when your bored? You would lose way less and maybe even make (not sure)

October 2, 200817 yr Interesting. I'm assuming the 53k exp is magic exp? And you know you meant iron when you typed coal. Go edit your post ;) . Some questions: 1. How long does it take to superheat 1k iron? 2. How much smithing exp, and how much mage exp? 3. How much gp lost and exp gained per hour? Interesting method, and losing 3 gp per mage exp isn't too bad, especially when you get some smithing exp. Have you considered superheating mith or addy bars instead? It's tougher on the inventory space and cuts down on mage exp, but it does lose less money. "The best defence is to stay out of range" - French proverbBad luck happens. Learn and get over it.

October 14, 200817 yr I recently got 9 magic levels with superheating (about 3-4k bars smelted) and I must say, after some calculations I think it was worth it to do mithril. The loss is way too little to notice that way. With this method, the loss will be quite a bit bigger. I don't know if that's the case with addy bars, but do mith at least. Well, it's slower, but I think it's worth it either way. You're being watched.
