Well, if you think it's redicilous to have adamant full faced helmet and rune dagger, then ask yourself this, what are level 24 hobogoblins doing with rune javelin?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Rune javelins are an EXPENDABLE ITEM. If you do not know what that means, you use it a few times then IT GOES AWAY FOREVER. Rune daggers are NOT EXPENDABLE, and sell for at least 5k gp.

OK blazikan. Lets face it: YOUR IDEAS ARE CRAP! Their just good for getting up yoru post count, and even when you DO find a DECENT idea in that void that you call a brain, YOU GO AND SCREW IT UP! NONE of your ideas are good, and I doubt that they were thought out for more than 5 mins.

I agree, he loves the things. Still, in defense of Blaze, this is a widespread epidemic. You see, people really like to think/say "scimitar."

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Think about it. The word "sword" is pretty boring. "Knife," even worse! But "scimitar," ahhhh, it rolls right off the tongue. Scimitar scimitar scimitar. I bet people are salivating just reading that :)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And, when it's used in the diminutive form, "scimmy," wow! People start getting psyched. Then they get impetuous. They run out and buy 3 or 4 more "scimmies," even if they're iron ones. They click "Examine iron scimitar" and "Wield iron scimitar" and "Remove iron scimitar." They pretend they're selling them just so they can see in yellow letters "Selling iron scimmies!!!" "Selling 100 iron scimmies!!!" Ooooh, it feels good.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But calling it a "skimmy," no, I'm sorry. That's just too much. The "c" is soft. Changing it to a "k" is greedy.

There are countless rules with even more direct contradictions that apply to these rules. Several letters meerly duplicate other letters. And some of the words make ABSOLUTELY no sence. Knife technically SHOULD be spelled "nife", but the english language is so incredibly broken people dont see why they cant change the rules at their own will.

I suppose you could let it drop the half shield as a rare if you really wanted to, but it would of course have to be an ub0r rare drop :) Once again I am amazed that you have started to turn around and offer some good ideas :)

If this were the case, imagine a newbie who kills one of these proposed monsters and gets the l/h shield drop. Maybe he doesn't even pick it up, or sells it to the general store, figuiring he oughta save space for tinderboxes, wooden shields, cowhides, etc. :)
