October 1, 200817 yr Yeah I agree that casting spells that causes damage instead of splashing will earn more exp. If yaoli is confident enough to utilise the safe spot, he can probably kill lesser demons. Maybe even fire strike/bolt Ice Warriors or something. As for FOG, I didnt said that was efficient though. I believe as with all Combat Mini-games, the xp received would be halved. (Correct me if wrong). Free? Yes. Efficient? I am not too sure; depends on your opponent whether is he a lazy person who doesn't want to run around but stand at the centre and pray or something. Yup, I overlooked the fact that spells would fail 100%(?) of the time when casting in metal armour. I believe Kingjoe's Fire Strike vs Fire Wizard method may not be the fastest but it allows for 'AFK' training since the Fire Wizard wont die(?) to the Fire spells; meaning you needn't pay too much attention when using this method. Different methods have different drawbacks and advantages, that's all I can say. I guess I can help summarise the methods: 1. Using F.O.G to train. 2. Using failed Fire spells on Fire Wizard. 3. Using spells on Demons or Ice enemies. 4. Using de-buffing spells on the Lumby Dummies. Tell us your budget yaoli, so that the rest here may advise you or something since I myself don't really train magic that much.

That's a relief. However, I'll go play a quick game sometime and confirm whether or not it gives full xp. And it's not quite 100% failing. It's just really really high. I cursed guards with 47ish mage til 50 in full rune and d vambs and succeeded maybe like 3 times total. So yes, a very very small chance, but a chance at that. In any case, I think FoG with it's free runes, ability for you to cast your best missile spells and gain some HP xp is really the cheapest, if not most efficient method once you get 59 mage. After alching of course  Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug
October 1, 200817 yr I remember training magic back when I was that level in f2p..... Well, to the point. What I did from 32-55 was use Curse on the Varrock Zammy Monk. It went by quick. But it was extremely boring and click intensive. You could try fire striking the Fire Mage or Flesh Crawlers. ~It's Super Effective! (The Zaaps Blog)~My YouTube Channel, where you get to watch me go around and make a fool out of myself and all comp capersGuides:~Yeah I wrote them once~Suggestions:~Yeah I made those once~
October 1, 200817 yr OMG! I just discovered that you do in fact get half XP  But fire blasting for me at least is still really good  Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug

Straight from someone who had used this Curse/Weaken/Confuse spells method~~ I did that too, all the way till I could get High Alch, and that was way before F.O.G. :D Wait...Why didn't you mention your method then? Because I trained my mage this way way back at the beginning of RS2 and only trained for a while here and there since I too read about this method on TIF. And I didn't really take note of the 'cost' factor since I didn't buy my runes but they(thousands of them) were what I had gotten from monster drops since RS Classic and I didn't train magic that much because I thought it didn't look that cool at that time... (just imagine a purple little '*' shooting towards your opponent) Thus since n00bfighterpk6 had tried and tested it and recorded down the costs and all, you have your answer. Any queries, just direct them to him
