Tim's a good player. There's no denying he's been very successful, but I can't stand him for his lack of bottle and heart.

And all the middle class shouting "Cmon Tiiiiiem!" while letting their kids miss private school, ugh, it makes me sick.

I agree, Tim's a good serve and volley player, but he's not aggressive enough to utilize it to its potential. What annoys me is that he was 'made' to win the tournament, being a natural on grass etc, but he still cant do it. Oh well bring on Murray :P .

Aye c'mon Murray :) Hopefully he will get pretty far.

Was disapointed that Henman lost, but I think it's pretty sick how the media are portraying him now.

Ah I know, I mean I'm not a big fan of his but he's always made a scapegoat over proportionally. I wouldn't mind if they portrayed him as a weak individual, which can be argued, but saying he's let his country down? C'mon, I'd like to see Alan Fraser or Piers Morgan do better.

Murray looks good dinnae he? :P He's vocal on caught too, but have you heard him in an interview? My God I think I fell asleep 4 times.

It's more sick how they portrayed him before. They made out like all he had to do was turn up and he'd win.

It's the same with every english sport, in football we're expected to win every comp, you never hear other countries say they should fire their team manager for only reaching the semi final of europe/world cup, it's become stupid to a point that which people could lose their jobs for not being the best every single time.

No one expects teh English to ever win at tennis

As much as I love and used to play (before injury), I'm not much for watching professional tennis. The men's matches are constantly dominated by the first serve. Although I don't like him, Nadal is interesting to watch because he has a varied style and uses groundstrokes more to his advantage. Ever since the Williams sisters, the womens has even been abou t the serves.

One of these days I want to see a pro play moonball and in..that would make me watch them for the rest of my life. It would be hilarious.

First off all before u read this, it's a POINT OF VIEW, not a critic, but maybe some people will understand now why the british tennis is of such a low level : Here's the story : Wimbledon makes TONS of money each year, but honestly, what does the British tennis federation do with it? NOTHING. I've read some articles about ex-trainers at the federation, and what I've read there, well i couldn't believe. One example: one trainer told that the federation didn't had enough money to ' build ' a new tennis court. And a few days later, boris becker came to ' visit ' the children to ' give them lessons '. The price? Well, he didn't said exact numbers, but he said that for that day he could live several mouths of that money they gave to the german.

Now u all thinking, dittos is talking [cabbage] again, but no, the consequences are clear, british tennis is NOTHING. Be honest, Greg rudzedski isn't a birtish, ok maybe he is but still he isn't so good. And ' tiger tim '? Personally i find him a decent player, nothing wrong with him, but if it takes more then 10 years to get a gran slam titel if u focus ur whole season on that gran slam..... sorry but that's not much. Now the media is ' hyping ' andrew murray, who's scottish, and yesterday i was whatching BBC and what i see there? An interview with his parents etc I thought geez, he only reached the third round in a gran slam. I don't wanna minimilise his prestations, becouse i know it was only his 7th prof match but still. Conclusions? British tennis could be the same as russian tennis, (i mean in top players) if they would spend their money MORE on the players, then on useless stuff.

He has banked the next 20 grand slams.. unless he brakes a leg... even then he better then most people in top 10..

As: Dontknowyet -157 R.

Rs: Dontknowyet - 38

Bigboybad - 104
