knives669
On the few last days of school, a few friends and I decided to have a Halo tournament. So, we all had everyone we knew bring their Xboxes to school. Another one of my friends brought his link cable. At first, we had just two Xboxes linked together and two different TVs in two seperate rooms. So, there were 8 of us playing (4 on each team, doing Team Slayer). Despite the occasional person tripping over the link cable and disconnecting us, we all had fun, yelling back and forth at each other from different rooms. Then, the word got out to everyone in the school with an Xbox and a passion for Halo that we were doing these tournaments, and on the last day of school, we had 5 Xboxes, and 5 TVs all in one room, all linked together, with a total of 20 people playing, and many more waiting to switch out with the players that didn't do good. We mainly did matches with the shotgun and the sniper rifle being your primary weapons, and occasionally had nothing but a rocket launcher match, with the primary vehicle being the Wraith. It was the most fun I've had in awhile. Especially since I was the only girl there and beating most of the guys. :D Anyone else have a similar gaming experience? Keiphus
My friend down the street is a 37, he plays with a bunch of other level 35-41's... Everytime I go over there, they are on Halo though.... Haha... I've heard them say though that matchmaking doesn't matter and levels don't even matter, it's all about those custom games with the big dogs... Commandant
i agree....custom games are better then matchmaking because most people with high ranks aren't even legit... so yeah custom games are basically better to do then matchmaking if you want to prove your a hardcore halo 2 player
Papickett
Nothing is legit. Custom games are modder-paradise because you can't get a ban from unranked games. Gamertag: Dances w NinjasRetired(Oh noes!)
ShakaKhan70
umm.. how can you hook 5 up together? I thought the total was 16.. not 20... so either your lying or you can't count  You can use a hub to hook up that many, and then 4 on each Xbox=20, but only 16 people can play one match at a time, the other 4 can sit around or play their own match, or just play many matches at the same time with less people in each. Just think of it as a mini version of Xbox live, except offline. I've never been at a LAN party with that many people, but about once a month me and 3 of my best friends get together and link 4 Xbox's so we can each have a tv to ourselves. We bought headsets and play in seperate rooms just to be able to get into the game more and have a semi-Live experience. I wish I could get Xbox Live, but high-speed interent isn't available where I live, the only way to play it is to go to this trading card shop in the mall.
