October 6, 200817 yr I have been searching for some nice headphones for under $100. I found these 2, i have read reviews, but i'm still thinking which one is better. Koss PortaPro Cnet and Amazon worship these headphones, they are still the same since 20 years ago. They are $35 and have very good sound quality. They are also portable and very light. Koss has a No-questtion-lifetime-guarantee, which basically means that when they break, i can mail the phones to them, and they will repair them for free. Theres even a guy in Amazon who claims he owns a pair since '88 and has only send it to repair twice. That's alot. But i'm worried about that metal, it looks very cheap or something, also the design is not really good looking. Skullcandy Hesh This headphones look very cool, i love the Skullcandy logo, and they look sturdy enough. Reviews are good, but people sat the bass is good, and the sound is not muddy. However i have never heard about Skullcandy before, and they are aimed at skate/snowboarders, which i doubt they really care about good sound quality. Lastly, my ears are very sensible to sweat, and they itch alot, which is very unconfortable. I need opinions. :) My Last.fm

October 6, 200817 yr Skullcandy are trash.. and that the Koss ones looks like crap too, not to mention uncomfortable. (Ick metal headband) just because they have cool designs doesn't mean they're good. They're not aimed at audiophiles. [skullcandy] Find a pair of Sony MDR-V700's for under $100 and you'll be happy. Great bass, clear highs and lows... best you can get in my opinion for ~$100 You should also MAYBE consider getting a high end sound card if you're running on-board right now The difference is phenomenal.
October 6, 200817 yr Personally, i would not choose the Skullcandy pair. I owned them before and i was satisfied at the start but eventually just hated them :P The bass isn't the best you could get, i've heard better bass on some of the sony headphones (the ones with the buds  ) Secondly they are not sturdy, infact, there really fragile. I managed to snap mine at the opening of the extension so they are now useless  . Hope this helps in any way :)
October 6, 200817 yr Well, in terms of quality, the Koss is the absolute winner here. Twitter ||| Google+ ||| Facebook ||| LinkedIn ||| My very interesting weblog about science
