I also almost died in runescape cause i was paying too much attention on trying to register.... I haven't been able to use these forums ever until now. I just gave up ever trying, but i liked the latest topic about PVP worlds and wanted to post. I won't be on here much until i'm allowed to register my normal e-mail address of ([email protected]). When I've tried to register in the past and now, it says the e-mail is already in use, and tip.it has to be less than smart and force you to remember the username along with the e-mail. If i knew the username i could probably guess my own password... I don't even remember EVER making an account, so how is my e-mail being used!? I've had this same e-mail for years. Well let me know when the bug is fixed and i'll come back and make another account. BACKGROUND:I started playing runescape in 2001, when there was only 3 worlds and 500 people. The entire world was PVP, only safe zone was lumby and sometimes banks. Oh and yeah i was around during the black hole for banned people, but never really saw it for myself. You'd think I'd have 99 stats and 1bill coins, but no, only 64millRARE ITEMS:- 10 easter eggs (used to be worth about 10m per, but stupid G.E. pryomancer Posted October 7, 2008 Share Posted October 7, 2008 Currently I have no means to search the user database for that email, and until the account that uses it has been found, I don't think you'll be able to make an account. :( I'll be working on it though, do you know anyone else that knows your email address and would use Tip.It? Perhaps a friend in the past asked to use your email to sign up with? EDIT: Good news! I solved the mystery! \ I checked your IP and someone else had posted from your IP, a user called i_m_happy Anyway I changed the accounts registered email, which was the same as your one. It simply means that you (or someone else who used your e-mail address) already created an account using your e-mail address. This is no fault of Tip.it's so please don't get mad at the site for it. I see that pryomancer has already handled the situation, but for future reference, if you ever forget your Tip.it username, fill out the following form: account_problem.php Select "Other login problem" and explain the situation (you forgot your Tip.it Forum Username). Does it say when the account was made? must have been YEARS ago hahaha... EDIT: Any chance you can put it all back to normal? I liked the I_M_Happy account name and the e-mail matched.... but is the underscore allowed? that was what threw me off and why i couldn't find the account before.
