October 7, 200817 yr In my opinion it's better to just use an obsidian/granite shield for range defense if you don't have a DFS. Crystal equipment really is outdated now...the 8 or 15 defenssive points gained are not worth the cost of charges in my opinion, and if you are using the shield frequently, you will end up wit less defense than granite/obsidian before you recharge. October 7, 200817 yr When tanking you get hit more than 2500 times so it's not worth using it.I use a zammy book(zamorak item and bonus) when tanking : and I have no problem whatsoever.

October 7, 200817 yr I prefer using granite. Its really cheap compared to the obsidian shield which is well over 250k. I personally think crystal wouldnt work cuz if you camp there you'd get hit well over 10,000 times.
