Mage/Range pking

Did post this in graveyard help and advice, but then decided it was probably just as suited to go here to see if anyone can help out.

 

 

 

So, i've never pked before but thought I may give it a go, stats are in my sig. Incase you can't see them the important ones are:

 

 

 

99 range

 

99 mage

 

95 hp

 

92 def

 

 

 

103 combat

 

 

 

Not really sure what to wear though, I guess I plan to barrage and dbow with dragon arrows, which is the best combo of affordable stuff to wear? I imagine I will die a lot as have not really any experience so I want something I can buy a load of sets of.

 

 

 

Would using a xbow with diamond (e) but as succesful aswell? That way I could use a shield aswell..

 

 

 

Any hints on anythign in particular would be appreciated as I don't really know what i'll be doing :roll:

I can't help you much, but I will tell you that the diamond (e) special is so rare for me that it's not worth it.

If you want good mage/range hits, then look at what pures wear. Remember the more range acc you add on the less mage accuracy you get. THe mystic might prayer really helps.

You know how knives are a really quick weapon? Fastest in the game? Well I took at look at the Knowledge Base, and darts are just about the same speed, except they are usually weaker than their knife counterparts.

 

 

 

But darts have something knives don't: a Dragon version. That being said, pking with Dragon Darts p++ might be an idea to consider. A bit weaker than d arrows, but firing at an awesome speed.

I'd say focus on dealing as much damage as possible. Max out on mage bonus while maintaining some def. (Nessy helm, ah top and bottoms)

 

Maybe consider a competed zammy book for range and mage att bonus (and pray bonus). Boots I'm not too sure, as they get really expensive for such a small bonus (I'd say mystic boots, +3 mage for 20k). Bolts, rune c'bow+dragon (e) bolts are epic (i've hit up to 58 in normal armour, 66 in void potted+pray @ 99 range). And yeah, ancient staff for autocasting ancients (which increases the speed of magic by one). Also, if an Ava's works through ahrims top, use it, if it doesnt use a god cape (+10 mage bonus) and just pick up your bolts. D'bow+D arrows aren't a bad idea, if your opponent starts praying mage.

 

 

 

Those are just suggestions I can think of, as I'm not too experienced in hybriding, as look at my mage level ;)

If i were you, i would not PK in P2P, but rather in F2P. With those stats you could PWN me without a effort, and you could even PWN most players upto LVL113. Sorry for being off topic. just wanted to tell you that you PWN!

I don't think you should have too much trouble with those stats. You could even Tank Range, and do well with those stats. I don't think you should use those pure outfits with d hide chaps and ghostly robes, because they give no def and you'll get shredded. You could wear Ahrims and use a c bow with it like someone mentioned.

if ur gonna range, u NEED full void dbow and d arrows. if u dont want 2 risk, use msb rune arrows black dhide and watever else.

 

4 mageing, use ice AND miasmic blitzes, full ahrims, and master wand/ ancient staff
