RSBDavid
OK, so I am designing a new sig to use on the forums. This is what I have so far. It has one of my favorite quotes and a cool background. IS there anything else I could add to make it better/optimal? Pat_61
That looks like you just slapped some text on a stock image. I'm not sure what to do with stocks. Ouchy
I'm with pat, it is just a stock image with a quote. I would recommend you take the border of the text, as it looks horrid with the back ground. And about anything else you can add/remove... Put in a render. I am sure there is a matrix render in PlanetRenders somewhere. And also, don't just slap it on, play around with transparency and layer settings for it. Remove the green gradient bar on the end, it looks bad, and it is Littleboy's 'tag'. My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages. dsavi
To put it bluntly, there's nothing to the sig. It's just some text on a background. And you should think about the text placement and font too, you can't just slap on text. You need to also think about how big you make the sig and what aspect ratio; Usually you want a sig to be about 3.5:1. I usually make mine at 400x130, another good size is 350x110. Bigger does not equal better. You also should think about having a focal, something that you notice right away when you look at it. Since the text is in the middle, sure it's the first thing you notice but it's not interesting at all. I suggest you go to http://www.deviantart.com/ and search for signature tutorials. Sam
That is not a sig. It's not text slapped on a picture. 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM
