Some of them are nice, but they look rushed. And the last one is ripping.

Simple. In it is three renders, and a Fractal. All he did was add a green background that went with the fractal, and add text.

He's using images permitted for use.

To be entirely honest these aren't all that great. No blending, no flow, no style, bad colour clashes and the like.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

First of all, pick up your blending, and put some c4ds in. Smudge them, blur them, do whatever, but they create flow, colour and style. They can also be used to blend.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Secondly, determine what colours your going to use. You want to have a limited colour pallete, which has colours all similar. For example only red, orange and yellow. Or maybe blue, green and yellow. That kind of thing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Try to use renders from sites like www.planetrenders.net and only pick good quality ones. Try not to distort them as well, because the usually makes sigs look horrible.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Your text needs major work so I'm going to recommend finding some tutorial on www.deviantart.com about text and typography. You don't really want to slap a big thing of text across the thing, as that hinders flow, and it destroys the focal. You want to keep text to a minimum.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Well that's me. If your using Paint.Net change it. Use gimp instead. A way harder learning curve, but essentially, its Photoshop. Free. If you don't have it get is at www.gimptalk.com.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But keep on working and don't give up!

As said, none of them are really exemplary, but it definitely shows that you've gotten a little better over time. Try to avoid using filters in photoshop, as you can hand make much better "Filters" with a little more patience.

Oh...and to whoever said the last one was ripping. That's not ripping.

All look very rushed, and what I call 'filter tags'. You need to do more than just find a bg, find a few renders & add text.

If you really want to get technical most of these video game images people use as "stock" are rips of a wallpaper created by an actual artist. However no one really cares to bother with it, and it's easy practice.

so you are goin to tell me that you hand drew everything in your sig??? BULLLL.. if you say yes... everyone uses renders... EVERYONE... but, yes they are rushed and i use Macromedia Fireworks... i really need to get a copy of photoshop... Thanks for the input guys....

What? No! I was saying the last one was ripped. All the other are legit. And all of the images in my signature are made by other people.

Ouchy S, it is legal, and is not ripping. Everything from that sig came from PR, a site where it promoted that they are free for use.

True. In fact, most of the Gallery stay to the Gallery. And no one reallt comes from outside.

Nothing amazing, just adding background to renders. Needs alot of improvement. Though I ain't goot doing signatures, so I don't know what you should do.. #-o
