Lazy Summer Day's Nap-----------fixed rails

This was three days work...not really all that long...maybe 6 hours...too long for this kind of work I suppose. Painter 7

This was originally for a contest on another board, but got it done late.

New version with rails reworked. I changed the coloring no the rails to match the floor, added a bit of a richer tone to give a late-day sunny look, modified a wierd spot on the dogs nose, roughed up the rails a bit, etc.

I use a wacom intuos1 4x5 tablet. Yes I go to concept art

Wyrm: Yeah Keiphus thought they were too crisp and symmetrical too. I may have to rough them up a bit to make it fit the feel.

Welcome back lol! :D

The Enrichment Center reminds you that the weighted companion cube will never threaten to stab you and, in fact, cannot speak.

In the event that the weighted companion cube does speak, the Enrichment Center urges you to disregard its advice.

Hmm, Tttia, looking at it again, I think one thing that's really bugging me is the tone of the wood..

Try either making it match the rest of the deck/portch/whatever, or maybe giving it like a white-washed feel? (So you'd still have the grain, but, it'd be white-ish..)

That is the problem with using reference. I diverged from the reference on the bushes etc., but I used them for the rails. IN the picture the rails were new and the porch wasn't. I should perhaps change the tone...hm..should be possible ;)
