So I've been making a lot of sigs... and I'm getting better, I think. Comments appreciated, all of these are also on my deviantArt. I use GIMP and occasionally Paint for renders.

Most of these, to be brutally honest with you, aren't good at all. They still seem to be jagged pixely text, slapped on a colour, gradient or something else. The render isn't blended at all, and it doesn't flow. Your sketchy one just looks downright horrible. It is messy, and cluttered. You can't see the focal, and it is really distracting. If you do that effect, which I do sometimes, set to overlay and 40%. It will make it much better. I gave up on the effect though, because in the end it looked horrible anyway.

I made it about 2 months ago. As you can see i is blended, and makes use of flow and depth.

 

 

 

Look at a lot more tutorials. Get styles, and ideas from them. Then, once you've done that, and made a really nice sig, I want you to show it too me.

 

 

 

Got it? I want to see you make really good sigs, and do something your really proud of, then show it to the gallery.

Hawkxs, your sigs are currently pretty basic, just a background with a render and text. You need to blend the render with the background at least to get some flow going, otherwise it looks very simple.
