Does slayer require a good combat level?

My combat level is only 30. Is it possible for me to be good at slayer, or do I need a high combat skill?

There are slayer masters for certain combat levels.

 

 

 

You can start slayer at your level as far as im aware, although, I would't recommend starting it to 70+ combat, else it will become tedious to level due to lack of equipment and skills.

I started with around 60 in all the melee stats, because I wasn't a member before then. Starting early might be harder, but it will probably make those lower levels a lot less tedious, and some of the lower leveled slayer monsters are a pretty good source of money.

Slayer master (and thus slayer assignment) is determined by combat level so you can do slayer at any level. At 30 combat, you should be using Mazchna in canifis. The in game slayer guide has the masters and the minimum combat level to use each one.

Start slaying now, you will be 85+ at like 105 combat, which is very awsome :thumbsup:

You can start it, but be aware that it will get very boring sometimes, and seem pointless when you can get constant xp elsewhere at that level. Slayer begins to get good at 60+, but before then you will just have to train, and have fun. I would wait until you have at least 60+ in all combat stats in order to slay pretty effectively.

not at all. i think its rare for someone to become a member with such a low cb, but the system seems to be set up for such people, all your original tasks through burthorpe can be quickly switched until you get 1 you want (skeletons or bats or something)

 

 

 

i think you will find slayer gives you motivation to train because of the variation, unlike camping at goblin village

It's very possible, although you could train faster using othe rmethods, and come back to Slayer at a higher combat lv.
