I just recently started playing - and paying for members again, after a close to 6 month break, and I must say, it's like starting on a brand-new game. I have been reading alot of guides, but I really don't know where to begin.

 

 

 

Since I started again I have been killing Moss Giants to earn gold and get some runes, done a few quests and leveled my Slayer-skill. But I really, like most of the other people playing this game, would like some new armor and weapons, but I really don't know where to begin.

 

 

 

Should I collect enough money to get a Whip first? Or start with a Dragon Scimmy when I complete Monkey Madness? Or should I keep my Rune Scimmy and get some better armour first?

I have around 500k gold in my bank and around 1k cooked lobsters aswell, if that helps. Ofcourse also some other stuff like Runes, Herbs and so on, but the gold and lobsters was just worth mentioning since it has something to do with the topic.

Sell the armour you have now; buy a whip and barrow armour(i use torag legs+body).Do Smoking Kills quest and start slaying again(for variety) or camp at a monster with better loot(firegiants for example).Welcome back.

How much would I be able to get for the Armor if I sold it - and should I use the Grand Exchange or should I start typing? Only problem about the armor you want me to buy, is that I need 70 defence to wear it - at the moment I only got 60. Should I keep the armor for another 10 levels of defence, or buy some Dragon instead?

 

 

 

Another thing I came to think of - isn't Guthan better than Torag? A chance of getting healed sounds sweet.

Sell your rune (g) on the grand exchange, get 70 atk for a Whip, and 70 defence for barrows. Do not get torags body+legs - same defence as Dharoks body and legs, but about 130k more expensive. Go with dharoks.

 

Other than that if you dont get 70 def just get normal rune body and legs, get 70 atk asap and a whip, do Fremmenik trials and use a warrior helm until you can do Fremmenik isles and use a neitiznot.

 

Get some dragon boots and a combat bracelet along with a glory.

 

And if you can, an obsidian cape is a nice addition if you cant do the Legends quest or get a 99.

 

For the Shield and ring, get a ring of wealth or life - I find life much much better. Stock about 5-10 of them.

 

And for the shield get a granite or obsidian shield.

 

And when you get 70 atk you can go to the Warrior guild - get mithril platebody, legs, and full helm, use them on the Armour generator thing, get lots of tickets and go up to the highest level and kill Cylcops for a Rune Defender.

Guthans costs around 4.8 million gp for the full set, and Torags is 900k-1 mil, and torags has a higher defence.

 

I personally wear;

 

 

 

Black Mask / Neiti helm,

 

Glory necklace,

 

Whip,

 

Rune defender,

 

Dharok body (same def as torags and cheaper)

 

Dharok legs (same def as torags and cheaper)

 

Dragon boots,

 

Ring of Life,

 

Obsidian cape,

 

and a Combat Bracelet. :)

 

 

 

For you I suggest

 

 

 

Warrior helm (until Neitiznot)

 

Glory necklace

 

(one level and) Whip, (until you can fund it a dragon longsword is nice. I think your rune g might top the gp for you though)

 

Rune defender (one level in attack or strength)

 

Normal rune body

 

Normal rune legs

 

Dragon boots (or rune, cheaper)

 

Ring of life,

 

Combat bracelet,

 

and any cape you like unless you can afford the (epic) obsidian cape.

 

 

 

And Aslan, dont tell people to buy torags body + legs, they fail ;), and guthans skirt is lower def than torag/dharoks I think?

Thanks Ray, I got some stuff to do now. At the moment I am 30k exp to 70 Attack, and when I hit it, I will see how much money I can combine to get the Whip.

 

 

 

My main problem at the moment is my defence from what I can hear on you guys - I really need 70 defence asap. But untill then, what should I do with my rune (g)? Should I sell it and get normal rune untill I have 70 defence, or should I get Dragon chain + legs?

Why do you always bash people's answers? I wear torag(body+legs) on almost every slayer task, while barrowing & GWd'ing. If you have other preferences fine, but don't be a smart _._._ .

Get a dragon skirt(same stats as d legs) if you wish and buy a normal rune platebody.D chain is 7.7m(GE price), not worth buying in my opinion.

I dont bash opinions, its just a fact they have the same defence, and for this guy who wants/needs a whip that ~130k can come in handy,

@ the rune part, Rune g is really bad in members - it does show richness but a whip is much more necessary, plus the chances of dying are much higher.

 

I suggest checking your GP balance. If you sell rune g and can buy a whip, and rune body with rune legs only, go for it.

 

But if you can buy a d skirt, as ugly as a wrecked pie (stronger defences, nevertheless) I say do it ;)

Heh., I will go for 70 attack first, then go sell my Rune (g) and buy normal Rune, and get myself a Whip. Thanks for the advices everyone, I will get started :)

 

 

 

(Only reason that I had Rune (g) was that my girlfriend saw it and thought it was prettier than the normal one, and she wanted me to buy that instead..)
