Slayer = Pointless at level 85

Well, I suppose higher than 85 slayer should yield some even better items, but there aren't enough players at that lvl for JAGeX to do anything about it yet. Besides, what's wrong with using/selling whips? I'm not tired of dragon weapons yet.

Don't you think they should ad more monsters after 85 that drop better items then a WHIP. Maybe like at 95 slayer a new monster with D Plate or some new Dragon Armor
now tell me the point of training after level 99 in a skill or getting above 43 pray ect

485th person to ever play RuneScape

the point of lvling after 43 pray is longer lasting prayer, and the point of training after lvl 99 is being the no. 1 in hi scores

Point of training skills to 99: high-scores if you care - possibility of Jagex releasing new stuff at higher lvl

Combat skills: self-explanatory, even for magic (more chance of successful spell + magic def based on mage lvl)

Prayer: the only reason is that a dose of pray pot restores a percentage of your total lvl, so the higher you are, the more money you save (or the less you spend to be precise) on pray pots. If it wasn't for that, there would be no point in going to 99, except for saving a few doses when using prayer fully charged compared to someone who's 43.

Runecrafting: no point past 91. That's when you get double nats. And you can make every kind of rune at 90. You get extra body, water and mind per essence at 92, 95 and 98 respectively, but that's not really a huge interest.

Agility: restores faster.

Herblore: no point past 78 (highest pot)

Thieving: get caught less.

Crafting: no point past 84 (highest craftable item)

Fletching: no point past 85 (highest fletchable item)

Slayer: no point past 85 (highest available monster)

Mining: higher success

Smithing: highest item is at 99

Fishing: catch faster

Cooking: burn less

Firemaking: no point past 80 (magic pyre logs)

Woodcutting: cut faster

Goes to show there are quite a few skills not worth getting to 99 if you don't consider my first line in this post. And I didn't even include the drinks that temporarily raise your stats, which means 99 smithing isn't actually necessary. You'll also notice that the skills worth training are those that have a luck or speed parameter.
