Stealing Creations - XP?

Well, as we all know, this Minigame is extremely fun and skill-based, makes for a very nice game!

But, why is there no XP from this? The items are pretty lame, but theres no XP?!

So I've decided to come up for a ratio of xp you can get.

Idea is this:

John grabs a level 1 (ITEM. Lets say.. Harpoon for now), and he finds a level 1 Pool. He begins to fish. Every level 1 clay piece he finds gives him 5xp.

Jack, on the other hand, grabs a level 2 (ITEM. Lets say.. Butterfly net for this one), and he finds a level 2 Swarm. He begins to 'catch' clay. Every level 2 clay piece he finds gives him 10xp!

Basically, the level of the clay you get = 5x for the xp.

1 = 5

2 = 10

3 = 15

4 = 20

5 = 25.

When you create an item, depending on what the thing you create is, you will get 10xp per clay. (Except for runecrafting, and fletching arrows, you will get the same level clay as for xp.)

Anyone agree with this?

Post your XP ideas too!

I dont need a siggy no moar.

i like it, but it's too low of exp for the higher lvl clay....i think this is more like it

lvl 1 = 5 exp

lvl 2 = 10 exp

lvl 3 = 25 exp

lvl 4 = 50 exp

lvl 5 = 100 exp <---this is lvl 80 stuff you know

Yes but then thats 28k xp per inventory of clay.

Plus making items out of it.

Kinda a bit much since 80 gets lv 5 at the same speed 20 gets lv 1. :geek:

not trying to be rude, but check your calculations again... 28k per inventory would be monstrous... 100 exp each x 28 spots in inventory is 2.8k exp, not 28k.... that more reasonable? :|

No, no, no. Sorry.

I don't want to see masses of players swarming this minigame to grind up their skills. We all saw what happened with FoG - people swarmed it to train Magic just for the sake it's free.

Besides, all minigames aren't just about the rewards, they are about the fun. The armor pieces from Stealing Creation are junk - the tools are the only worthwhile items for high level players. And I don't really think low-leveled people will try to get the armor - it takes ages from them to build up the points. Unless they glitch the game with the withdraw-deposit thing. :P

Yes, I agree. There should be some xp. As to the above poster, how would this ruin the minigame? Isn't the entire POINT of the minigame to use your non-combat skills to collect clay? Oh no, people are doing what they are supposed to do in the minigame for xp!!! I mean, if they are powertraining there, let them. They're doing what the minigame was intended for, getting clay.

Fog was different. The point was to collect charges, not to cast magic spells. See the difference? Skillers are supposed to collect clay, why not give a better incentive?

everything of what he says is true :ugeek: no one SAYS you have to use magic in FoG but to collect clay and actually win the game you MUST USE YOUR SKILLS TO COLLECT CLAY!! therefor there should be experience.

^Tbh the Morphing tools are really epic.

Although they do seriously need to give some xp into this.

Agreed with Zaaps and Tard.

Anyway this post is more-or-less a bump

I dont need a siggy no moar.

Well the Morphic and Voitile tools give skillers a nice bonus xp for skilling using the items. Although I would like it if skillers also got xp in the game, not a whole lot but at least a bit.

Imo, Ikes idea on the xp is actually realistic.. Kinda.

I mean, 60 to get level 4 items, 50xp each, thats pretty quick xp.

And people would probably epicly spam this.

I think it should be kinda like,

Mining a rock is half coal xp (40), half mith (60), etc

Fishing at a pool is half tuna xp (40), swordfish (60), shark (80).

Etc etc.

That rate would be more realistic.

Plus, just imagine someone using something with Ikes XP rating and just using the familiar to bank it!

28 x 50 = 1400xp per inventory.

1 min per inv,

20 x 1400 = 28000xp.

Thats almost 28k xp at best if you have the place to yourself and the corrosponding item level.

I dont need a siggy no moar.
