konkar
Hey all, at 113 combat I think its time to get a higher range lvl, currently lvl 1 and have not trained range since rsclassic days, so any help would be good. Current goal is 70. Should I just cannon it, is this method even worth it and fast?? What style should I go with if I use a bow/crossbow, accurate/rapid? What arrows/bolts? Or should I just throw stuff? AKA - knifes? What armors should I use as I progress over lvls? I have read the tipit skill guide, so also using that as a refernce guide to. Many thanks. Which quest is it that unlocks the ability to buy and use a cannon? ~ K O N K A R ~ Konkar Jr ~ X Konkar X99 Strength - 18/12/08 - 99 Attack - 5/2/0999 Hp - 20/7/09 - 99 Defence 26/7/09R.I.P.K R I S KKrisk JrRSC, Lives on in all of us
Jys
Should I just cannon it, is this method even worth it and fast?? - You can use it. I don't suggest it though. Unless you are ranging something for a slayer task, like Daggonaths, you probably want to go really fast with it, and most cannonable things don't drop good drops. (Or so I've been told, ;) ) What style should I go with if I use a bow/crossbow, accurate/rapid? - I use accurate, as to get more hits. What arrows/bolts? - For arrows, bronze for the first 10-20 levels, then I would switch to Iron. After 30-40, switch to Steel. Then just stay at Steel. Or should I just throw stuff? AKA - knifes? - Knives are really good EXP. If you do them, use iron knives, and probably at the Ogre Cage in the Training Grounds north of Agrougne. What armors should I use as I progress over lvls? - At first, use the best leather armor you can. Then, when you can, switch to Green D'Hide. Keep on switching up until you can wear Black D'Hide, :3. I suggest using Armored Gloves, from RFD quest, instead of Vambraces. They have a better Range Attack. I have read the tipit skill guide, so also using that as a refernce guide to. Many thanks. Which quest is it that unlocks the ability to buy and use a cannon? - Dwarf Cannon Those are my two cents, :

Navyvet1
Its not necessary to stay in Ranged Armor with a Cannon. It helps...but really isn't necessary. If you have a high Defense Level, then the Range Gear Boosts are a good thing to have. The fastest rage item in the game that you can acquire in large quantities quickly would be Throwing Knives. If you have a Zammy or Guth Book, couples with RFD Gloves you will have no problems leveling very quickly.
pureprayer
From lvl 1 might be fun to train. I recommend you get 5000 bronze knifes and use them at Pest Control and spend the points on range before you do anything else. Pureprayer, you're awesome.
